He repaired an issue to my ceiling as well. So great! Highly recommend him.

They were very meticulous in making sure our furniture was covered and when finished painting everything was put back as it was. Everyday they arrived promptly at 8:00AM and left at 5:00PM. Our condo was painted with two coats of paint to the walls. They also did our ceilings and trim. Also our kitchen cabinets were removed to be prepped and painted. Once done they put back the cabinet doors. We can't express enough the wonderful job Harley and his crew did. They were the nicest gentlemen. We would highly recommend their painting service to anyone. Jim and Elena Dennehy

And JC was great with the consultation and so knowledgeable, and Adam was a doting project lead that always encouraged us to reach out with questions, and the co-owner, Erika, emailed a few times to make sure everything was up to our standards. Quality, quality, quality!…read more Taft Construction has been doing work for my family since I was a teenager. As we've grown to have our own homes, my siblings and I still would not use anyone else for home repairs, additions or renovations. Is it unscrupulous to Yelp for family? Because that's the way Mike, the owner, and his crew make you feel when they work on your home. They are exceedingly patient during the planning and budgeting process, and then deliver a quality of work that we think is unparalleled. We've recommended them dozens of times with no hesitation and never had someone that hasn't simply gushed about the work once it was complete. Other times, we've seen friends elect to go for the mega-hardware store contractor option, or so-and-so's brother who is a part time handyman, and the contrast is painfully obvious. When Taft Construction explains an estimate, you really understand what you are paying for. (and once the work is complete, you wonder why there wasn't a 75% artistic/quality stipend tacked on) But over the years, through the experiences of friends and neighbors, we've seen exactly how some contractors cut price to get a job, and the results are very telling. So if you are Yelping for home additions or renovations on the North Shore, go no further. Just don't tie them up for too long, because I think it might be time for us to get a new deck this summer.

Other companies I'd met with were more like high-pressure sales pitches with little substance. Their prices were good, and on the lower side of what I had been quoted elsewhere. Their employees were knowledgable and efficient. The whole process took about two days, and boy did they work hard! The crew showed up at 7:00am and worked until 7:00pm the first day. My only criticism is that the crew showed up at 6:30 am the second day, before I even got out of bed -- and it was a bit jarring to wake up to people walking around on my roof. But that being said, the whole process was efficient and transparent, and I will DEFINITELY use them again next time I need a new roof!

We needed lots of advice never having had a metal roof before. Wayne was very knowledgeable. The crew came every day for about 10 days and worked 0730 until 7 at night to get it all done. All work was very professional, and the roofing panels were custom cut on sight. After completion, we discovered a small piece of trim had not been replaced as ordered. The boss, Wayne, came back and inspected it. His crew then came back and replaced that trim to our satisfaction. Not many roofers would have come back! We definitely recommend Advanced Metal Roofing.

He came out to the house to review the project room and provide an estimate. After seeing the estimate that was in our budget, we decided to give the go ahead. When we first started communication, there was no rush on the project as it was for our future baby's room. So 1, 2, 3 weeks go by after giving the go ahead and no response. Finally I get a reply and it was "I will check my schedule". 4 more days go by and nothing. I reach out again and he says I'll check the schedule and let you know tomorrow..I caught him at a "busy time". Mind you the non rush project is how becoming a rush. So knowing full well the baby's delivery date, he gives me 2 weeks prior to that as his only possible available time stringing me along until it was too close to the due date. If you don't want to do the project or it's too small or it's not what you want to do, just say so and move on. Dont string me along until it's convenient for you to so a smaller job. Don't bother reaching out to Robert unless you have alot of time for your project and it's big enough to warrant him giving you his attention.

We moved into our condo in 2021 and had replaced the old and rotting planks with composite soon…read moreafter we moved in; however, we were most interested in revitalizing the roof deck altogether - the railing and posts were rotted and had peeling paint, and we had minimal privacy when hosting friends and family. After speaking with several contractors, we were fortunate enough to find Leo, who gave the roof deck a complete facelift! We initially hired Leo to update the siding of our top deck and replace the door leading to the bottom deck. During our first consultation meeting with him, he had brainstormed many design concepts and ideas we had not even thought of that we ultimately went with - we highly appreciated the creativity and effort to make our image a reality. He was incredibly communicative, and we really felt like we were working as a team. We ended up having him replace the railing of our upper deck and added a privacy wall with a beautiful design. He handcrafted the railing and involved us in every step of the design process. He also replaced rotting wood that was exposed beneath the siding, fixed a broken outlet, and completely replaced a rotting window frame. He also put in place LED light strips beneath the railing to create a sense of ambience we didn't even realize we were looking for! Leo was always very transparent with the timing of each phase of this project as well as any associated costs. Leo went above and beyond and returned twice after our final payment to add some minor touch ups to ensure the deck was as picture-perfect as can be! We have many upcoming projects in our new home and hope to work with Leo on all of them. We have already begun brainstorming together what we can do with our bottom deck. We would recommend Leo a thousand times over and are looking forward to collaborating with him again!
