The last time we were here we were probably one of the last appointments of the day. After awhile…read moreone of the nurses finally called our names to get our 7 year old checked out. She took us to an exam room and weighed him, then checked his blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. She left and said the doctor would be in shortly. After a long while we noticed that office activity had gotten quieter and quieter. We had been in there almost an hour and it was right at closing near 5pm. My wife finally stepped out and asked if the doctor was going to see us! We weren't the last patients to check in, as there were a couple after us. But we were the last to get to see the doctor and the last ones to leave. We felt like we got out on the back burner while others were moved ahead of us. We were pleased with the doctor on prior visits, but after this experience with the staff personnel we have elected not to go back and found a different pediatrician. They were not THAT busy and we felt they were being just a bit predjudiced.

It's insanely inconsistent! Came in as a walk-in and was turned away. After being assertive, someone miraculously cancelled and they got us in. It's sad that once you get to see someone everything is amazing but getting in is a pain.

After reading 2 negative reviews I had to tell my experience…read more I changed to Dr. Kumar upon a friends recommendation and I could not be happier. Dr. Kumar is amazing. She is conveniently located next to Baptist hospital(I use their free valet parking) She is well staffed and in my 6 or 7 visits I've only had to wait an extra 5 minutes one time. And, unlike most Drs that make you wait in the lobby well past your appointment time, and then put you in a room for another long wait, Dr Kumar personally sees you almost immediately. She is very thorough and professional. In my case she picked up borderline diabetes, and rather than start me on a drug regime she helped me modify my diet and now my numbers continue to get better. She also has a blood technician in her office so you can get your blood-work done at the same time. Every time I visit she reads my entire chart carefully and asks questions about everything medical related. She has adjusted my prescriptions dosages up or down as my test results warranted. She also scheduled quarterly visits at first to address the many problems I had but has cut back as my health and test results continue to improve. I personally have never felt better and, thanks to Dr Kumar, for the first time in a while I have a positive outlook on my future health. I believe she is truly a wellness Dr rather than a sickness Dr I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kumar.
