Let's just say that they didn't have what I needed. If you are going to this place, it is a nice store. Clean, friendly staff. Probably way overpriced for tourist trap. They mainly carry Apple products, phones, big ticket electronics. I suppose if you are going here something really bad happened to one of your precious electronic devices. The kicker for me was the staff who told me they don't have any camera battery chargers, but he gets asked that a "thousand" times a day! It seems if that many tourists are in need of that item, perhaps it would be an amazing business decision to stock those? You'd think they would make a killing since most people are dying to take a million photos of the gorgeous scenery in Banff and the surrounding areas.

Even their receipt revealed the same. Opened the box when we got back to Calgary and it was the first gen airpod. Called the store about the situation and how they can remedy the same. Was told that they cannot honor returns due to hygiene reasons and that he will Have to speak w the manager since we have opened the box. Was even told that the box does not indicate that its first gen or gen 2 airpod and that there is no difference. Thats a completely false as the product definitely has upgrades. How deceiving was it for Them to say Gen2 ,only to give me first gen. Beware And know your stuff as customers.

If not, I am to contact the company again. 2. If you don't have a car, you will have a problem getting your product to their company. 3. He didn't even try to troubleshoot or make an attempt to help. I suggest the management better hire staff who are a little more empathetic and help people instead of just sending them away. Being a manager myself in customer service, listening skills are very important and at least try to resolve the problem instead of sending the customer in their way as if they felt they inconvenienced you. Very poor service guys and I will not be doing business here ever again. I will let my friends and family know about the horrific experience I had at this location!

I purchased 4 desktop computers complete with monitor, keyboard and mouse. I am very novice at…read morecomputers but had been referred by a friend and thought I could trust them with advice and good used computers for my new business. NOT TRUE. Once I purchased the computers I hired an IT guy to configure them with the printer in the office etc. The IT guy said do you realize you paid more than brand new monitors cost and that the computers are at the end of their lifecycle. They were years older than I was told. I was also told they were getting all the computers ready and serviced. When my IT guy opened the covers, he found they had been well used by a large organization and were very old and could not be upgraded to the newest operating system Windows 11. Furthermore, each computer was full of hair, fuzz and dirt and some of the fans didn't work. I complained and Open Box Macleod allowed me to trade the monitors for a credit. One thing I used the credit for was to buy an expensive coffee grinder. The grinder did not work so I took it back to Open Box Macleod. They said they could only send it in for repair. Months went by and still no coffee grinder. I went to the store many times in person and they shrugged me off and would not refund me and refused to help. I spent about $4000 and if I had the time, I would stand in front of their horrible, dishonest, disreputable Open Box Macleod location and tell them all my story. Worst Place to buy anything. They cannot be trusted. I am literally ashamed I fell for this discount store.... it is far worse than buying from a new supplier.
