I was lured in with one of those "free 21 day challenges" that would consist of nutrition guidance and workouts, thinking it would be a good trial before I committed to a membership. I didn't have a good experience. When I went in for orientation, I was given two options (keep in mind you will also be pressured to buy over $300 worth of supplements no matter what option you pick). I was told there was a free option, where you get a meal plan and 2 classes a week (and your trainer will check up on you occasionally), and a $200 option, which was a meal plan, unlimited classes, and a trainer following up all the time to help you reach your goals. I said that one of the reasons I came in was for accountability, and so I opted for the $200 plan so I could have more access to a trainer and they could keep me on track (they also said I can use this amount as future credit, which I thought was great!)
Daniela was my assigned trainer on the app that we track our meals. I never met her, and she reached out to me only once during the whole thing maybe a week in. With one week left, I got a notification that my trainer changed, and he never reached out either. During this time, I had fallen completely off track with tracking my meals and attending the workouts (largely due to COVID and the shutdown.. but classes were still happening online) and still no one reached out. Radio silence.
They say they are results guaranteed, and if you do not hit your goals, they will train you for free until you do. At no time was I even asked how it was going with my goals, nor was there any check in. I don't even remember concretely setting a goal with someone. At the end, I replied to a feedback survey I was sent, and was told that I would be followed up with to discuss it. No one contacted me about it or about continuing with the gym. I was promptly removed from the members Facebook community page, and that was that.
I give the 2 stars only because I did really like the gym classes with Andy and Karsten. I would recommend taking them on classpass, but not the gym for a membership.
Also... I'm pretty sure they tried to make another yelp account to hide the fact that they have poor reviews. Here's a link to another page for this business with people with similar experiences to mine.
