We recently had TEC replace our roof, gutters, and some screens after a bad hail storm hit my…read moreneighborhood several months ago. They (and many other companies) started going door-to-door offering appraisals and services for damage. Many families in our development also used Tec's services. They got us approved with our insurance company to cover the roof replacement and we scheduled. They arrive early on the day of the replacement and got all of it done in one day. We do not have a small house! So why 4 stars instead of 5? The roof was done and a couple days later (in the late afternoon!) a truck pulled up in front of my house and two men are kind of wandering around my front yard. It turned out to be the guys replacing the gutters. They did not speak English but were very polite and used a translator in their phones to tell us why they were in my yard. It was already pretty late in the day and it was snowing when they started. We had no idea they were coming. They were back the next day- a Saturday- very early and continued their work. The gutter guys were not as efficient at cleaning up as the roofers. They left a big piece of foam padding on my deck (it's still there) and worse, nails all over my front yard, that have now been covered with snow, so I need to be afraid for my dog going out to do her business, that she doesn't get a nail in her foot. Then a week or so later my doorbell rang and it was another Tec employee who told me he was here to pick up my screens. I had no idea what he was talking about, There was no prior communication that someone would be by to pick up screens, nor which screens they wanted. So I told him to come back and I quickly learned how to remove the screens from the windows on the 2nd floor of my home. I left them on the front porch. They were picked up and returned a few days later. So, we've received excellent work, but the communication was lacking.
