We were told our home would be completed by November-December of last year. As of March 2026, nearly two years later, the project is still not finished. While the exterior appears complete, the interior remains largely unfinished, with no walls and no meaningful progress. Paul initially assigned his brother, Anthony, to manage our project. Unfortunately, that arrangement did not work out, and the project suffered from a lack of progress and follow-through. At some point, Paul had to bring in another person to take over, which in itself reflects how poorly things were handled from the beginning. Even after that change, the project remains stalled. Communication has been one of the biggest issues. We have made repeated attempts to contact the company over an extended period of time, and calls and messages have largely gone unanswered. There has been no consistent follow-up, no clear updates, and no accountability. From our perspective, there are no visible permit delays or external issues that would explain the lack of progress, which makes the situation even more concerning for us as homeowners. We entered into this agreement in good faith during a very vulnerable time, believing this company would advocate for us and help us rebuild. Instead, we are still displaced, still living in a rental, and still without answers nearly two years later. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. We strongly encourage anyone considering working with this company to ask detailed questions, document everything, and proceed with caution. We hope sharing our experience helps others make informed decisions.

About January 8,2026 they issue to me the check for the content i deposited the check January 23 but the check returned unpaid(dishonored) due to insufficient fund. Since that time i have maintained extensive written comminications with Paul Pena. These comminications documents repeated delays, unfulfilled promise of wire transfer or cashier check, missed schedule meetings and inconsistent explanations. Despite issuing writted demand for payment on Feb 5. Atlantic Adjusting has failed to remit the money owed to me. Instead, I was informed that the funds were placed back into a escrow account, which appears to be another delay tactics preventing me from receiving my rightful settlement proceeds. Also the dwelling claim payment it was made payable to Atlantic Adjusting, myself, my father and my mortgage company .We never endorsed the check nevertheless Atlantic Adjusting deposited and negotiated the instrument. Also, We didn't sign any contract with them to take over with the contractor and architect they hiring this people with without our knowledge and not even informing us who is this company they dealing and no information like who's the contact persons and the name of the company. I ask many time i need to have meeting with the contractor and the architect always no show just always promising but no action. Paul doing his own way hiring people not giving information to the client. Then all you know next they pay this company $$$ this kind of amount and is over pricing. Like example the Demolition he said it cost $70,000 because it was manual work they did. They dont even gave me the estimate or the price how much it will cost and after demolition no receipt presented for all the work done. They overprice the labors. It was traumatizing for my family we lost our house but this is more nightmare to us that knowing all the money we have Atlantic Adjusting Company holding the insurance funds for rebuilding our house & content funds. I thought when when i first meet them they all good people and trust them to rebuild my house. They always have sweet talk but no action made and always missed the meeting or i mean never show up at all. I'm hoping this will not happen anymore to the other people. This lesson learn from us and hoping this help some people also to be aware with dealing to Public Adjusters especially with Atlantic Adjusting Company. It is hard to be a victim like this we are suffering, overwhelmed, devasted and traumatized for there service.

I got my initial date range to receive my things at my destination in NC and moved it to an earlier date, so I'd have my furniture before Christmas. The day of my move, the movers were three hours late. I finally got to my destination and figured that I'd get settled in and my things would get here soon after. A lot of people were asking when my things would get here, and I noticed that no one contacted me. I reached out via email to find out that the truck carrying my things broke down. The driver was waiting to find out what la wrong, and everything I own is sitting somewhere stationary. There will not be a different truck going to get my things. I don't know how long it would have taken them to even let me know this was going on had I not called. So is another truck bringing my things to meet the agreed timeline? No. Will I have my furniture by Christmas? No, and I will probably ring in the new year with no furniture. Did they give me an updated estimate on when my things will arrive? No. What did they tell me? There's nothing they can do, and gave me the pleasure of knowing that'll I'll still be paying full price for the move and have to submit claims to see if I can get any money refunded. Allied really needs to choose better moving companies. Reliable is an ironic name. Please do yourself the favor of declining and choosing someone else.
