Items are a little more pricey, but there's such a great variety and such quality items that the prices are worth it. Plus, the lady gave me a good deal when I bought four items. :) You'll find a good variety of clothing, books, videos and DVD's, knickknacks, dishes, etc. I found an adorable miniature china dog--an unusual little white one, not your typical granny-knickknack--that I think one of my sisters will love. I also found a row of little hedgehogs that were all different, but sold together. Perfect for another of my sisters who collects hedgies. The ladies here are very friendly, chatty, and entertaining. It's one of my favourite charity shops so far, and I highly recommend it.

If you love shabby chic décor, country cottage style, and just plain, old fashioned cute, then you…read moreneed to have a nosey around Lifestyle Outlet in West Kirby. They sell everything from candles and cards to home décor and furniture, and the variety they offer is enough to keep you happily poking around for a while. I loved the shabby chic furniture, like the wood hutches and side boards, and the cute animal decorations like the colourful cat mobile I spotted, and some plush chickens that would look really great in a farm themed kitchen, or on a window sill. The prices are very reasonable, and if I weren't so hard up myself, I could easily have come home with five or six little decorative items and not spent more than £40. My friend found some really great prints of photos and paintings and wound up buying one to add some color to her living room. The prices were really reasonable for the size of artwork, and there were some pretty quirky choices if your style of art tends toward fun, conversation pieces. I'll definitely be having another poke around next time I'm over that way.

Admittedly though they have always tried to recreate an authentic Poundstretcher experience by piling stock in any aisle that may be wide enough to negotiate. Stock wise there's a wide range from food to homeware to toys. They also have lots of seasonal stuff so lots of gardening items in the summer and Christmas items in the winter. It's all fairly cheap and cheerful. They possibly suffer a lit bit from being next door to the superior Home Bargains but it's worth a look if you're passing.
