Dr. Taveli inspires confidence: he is friendly, receptive, empathetic, and highly competent--and, his office staff reflects that.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.

I told her I'd had a bad and painful experience before, so she was extra patient. At one point I started feeling queasy and got sick & she didn't even blink. Just rolled in with juice, a fan, and a washcloth and sat with me til I felt better. $900 for 1 syringe of RHA (her rec for my goals) definitely stung my wallet, but worth it for the skill + kindness. Pics of healing week 1 attached for the curious. the photos are out of order, sorry!

She would not look at it up close, look me in the eyes and did not ask any questions about change in severity except to blame that I may not be using enough of her specially compounded treatment. I was in for a follow up and an annual skin check. She had prescribed her name brand compounded gel that she sells for $68 per bottle. She simply acknowledged 2 months plus 8 prior waiting for an appointment is "not too bad." Next step, 6 months of low grade antibiotics, seriously? When doing my skin check she picked up my Harris with the ends of the fingers, like you might if something was dirty or you wanted to not interact with. She clearly has her own fears or issues about germs, bugs, mites etc. as she was grossed out and/or bored by my presence. She did not educate me in any meaningful way, she did not ask one questions except what I do for a living and she left with a student in tow with not even a goodbye or direction for next follow up. Disinterested or above t all? I'm sure she is well educated and her practice is established, she just seems disinterested. She does not seem to need nor want to he doing what she's doing. Sorry to that student who was made to follow her. I hope she will shadow better examples of medical bedside care before she sets out on her own.

One MA in particular refused to do her job. Insisted that my Rx needed to be sent to a different pharmacy rather than the VAMC Portland Pharmacy. Refused to look in to the history, attempt to rectify, or even fully communicate. What she does not understand is that ultimately she is asking me to pay out of pocket for my prescriptions just because she either does not know how or just does not want to do her job. They would rather me discontinue my medication rather than do their damn job. Disgrace to all the other good MA's out there. Billing and coding...a joke. The are uneducated on referrals and proper insurance billing. I don't know how many times I have had to do the leg work for them to get everything correct with my account. This review is about Dr. Myriam Loyo…read more Don't waste your money! I drove all the way from Central Oregon to have a 5 minute consult which is $110! No insurance... all out of pocket for me. She spent about five minutes, no more than 10 for sure and immediately said that she would recommend seeing her partner. Dr. Wang who has a lot more experience. She was going to go grab him to see if he was available and bring him right in. At no time did she say it would be an additional $110 fee. About five minutes later, she came back to say he just started surgery but if I was willing to wait about three hours that I would be able to see him again no mention of anything additional cost. I had driven all the way from Central Oregon so I decided to stay and wait around for the doctor to finish his surgery About two hours later, the receptionist called me to confirm the appointment time with him and oh by the way, there's an additional $110 fee. Unbelievable!!! I felt completely taken advantage of the doctor hadn't spent more than five minutes with me no pictures ...hardly any discussion about future surgery etc. She wanted him to see me. It was her suggestion and her recommendation . The whole office seemed unprofessional and unprepared and disorganized. One didn't know what the other was doing etc.. I disputed the additional charge because I felt the doctor should have told me there was additional fee at the time because I could choose whether or not I wanted to waste my time instead, I waited an additional two hours. I felt that this should be on her and the fee should've been waived or comped because she literally spent less than five minutes with me before telling me I should see her partner Dr. Wang and suggesting her partner should see me which was supposed to be right away, except he wasn't available. To think they would have charged me an additional $110 even after the fact that I had just spent five minutes with her is absolutely ridiculous. They did not consider waiving the fee even after I voiced my concerns and how unprofessional and how this was her mistake that she should have told me before hand. I feel it was a complete waste of my day taking off work, traveling all the way to Portland for them to try and scam more money off of me. Maybe they're used to doing whatever they want and charging whatever ridiculous prices they do because insurance covers everything but when you don't have insurance, that is a lot of money to me for five minutes of her time in which she then recommends seen her partner and audacity of charging $110 for Ann other 5 minutes of his time??? I was so upset with the way that they handled this and I will recommend you not even bother to see her especially if you're paying out-of-pocket. Don't waste your time and don't bother . They should have made it right. I gave them ample opportunity to do so but they did not so I am a person of my word and I told him I would give a bad review as a result of them mismanaging this situation. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional

She apologized for not being more clear, explained everything and generally had a great beside manner. The hall that did intake and put numbing cream on this time has a lovely, sweet, calm presence, quite different from the guy last time. My advice? Ask lots of questions, and get a prescription for a few tablets of a prescription painkiller for the actual treatment, you won't need anything after. I did and this second treatment, while it used more power and density of coverage, was pretty easy to handle.
