A complete waste of time and a lot of money. I'm really shocked by all the great reviews because my experience was the complete opposite.
If you are struggling with PPPD, vestibular migraines, dizziness, or vertigo, he can't help you. Dr. Berner doesn't listen, doesn't care, and it shows when he's talking to you--or rather, over you. He doesn't seem to know his patients by name; you're simply an appointment slot in his schedule.
I wasted over $750 on two appointments--and that's the in-state rate. If you live outside of Georgia, they charge over $2000, which is absolutely ridiculous.
They make promises over the phone to get you to book an appointment. Ericka told me that "most clients with my symptoms have two, maybe three appointments and feel better immediately." But once you arrive, the story completely changes. Suddenly, it's a "long road," you'll "feel worse before you get better," and recovery will take "months." This place seems to take advantage of sick and injured people desperate for relief.
They also make false claims on their website, including:
"Latest chiropractic technology to achieve scientific, reproducible results. By using 3-D imaging of the upper cervical spine, we can clearly pinpoint the problem and reduce the number of visits compared to most chiropractors."
This is not just misleading but it's a lie. They have a very old, basic X-ray machine in the office--nothing close to the technology they describe.
"Dr. Berner was the first chiropractor in Georgia to use the cranial cervical junction MRI procedure starting in 2014. This MRI is a type of advanced imaging that allows us to see the underlying soft tissue, ligaments, tendons, and blood vessels in the upper cervical region."
This is also deceptive. They don't actually use or offer this MRI in the office. The receptionist? Ericka said, Dr. Berner helped bring the procedure to Georgia in 2014, you'd need to call and book with a completely different medical office and pay $500+ out of pocket for it--and it "may or may not give answers."
I did tell Ericka at the front desk that it's very deceptive to claim on multiple pages of their website that they "utilize this technology." She admitted she's been told that before and said they "should possibly change it."
Overall, my experience was deeply disappointing, expensive, and misleading from start to finish. read more
