I had lunch there a couple of times and it was always really fresh and tasty and they have a good range of options from hot meals, and filo pastries to salads.

Eggs were cooked for both meals superbly. Salmon was very tasty. Portions were a good size for your money amd we both walked away stuffed. This place is a Bathurst hidden gem. On a Friday morning it was not packed, but had a few customers. Service was spot on and very friendly. When you first walk in, you do get that country feel. Hats off to the chefs in this cafe. I hope you continue to bring the beautiful tasty food. I will be coming here at least one more time while in town.

After wandering through a few shops in this heritage listed town we were truly hungry and ready for a good coffee and a nice lunch.The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the wonderful selection of baked goodies stationed in front to entice your need for something yummy- we resisted, knowing that some of these goodies will be riding home with us! It was a nice little cafe inside and the staff seemed very friendly. I decided on the Beef and Shiraz Pie-with hand cut chips and salad- it's nice to find a place that still uses real potatoes - they were great! The pie appeared to be mostly pastry but once cut into, had a very generous slow cooked filling that was very tasty. But the show stoppers were the fish and chips, and batter- dipped Prawns. We have a few places in Sydney that make nice fish and chips, but these dishes were right up there with the best we have had-fresh,crisp and perfectly cooked-the prawns were very generous and I was lucky to be handed one. If I went back I would order these dishes.I would have given this place a perfect score but two things kept that last star from being given.One is that I am still waiting for the promised jug of water the waitress said she was bringing- we would have asked again but the wait staff never checked back with us to make sure we were happy .The second thing is a common one in cafes- our meals came with salad that were drenched in dressing and were no longer crispy- I didn't mind so much but my wife has grow accustomed to asking for dressing on the side because she hates that! And she also hates coriander which wasn't listed as an ingredient so she was searching through here salad trying not to eat any. I found a few slices of fresh chilli in my side salad- another no no for the general population.Don't let this stop you from going there- just remember to ask for dressing on the side if you feel like we do.And the baked goods? Yummy! I understand they own another place in Orange called The Sugar Mill- but that's another review!

Great ambiance excellent service…read more Coffee is really good! We came on a Sunday morning and hadn't booked, were seated inside and our coffee appeared very quick. The food looks great and smells Devine, alas, we had just had our breakfast and were just in need of coffee. Tables are appropriately spaced inside and out. I was ticking off another wine district I hadn't been to yet. I was really enjoying all that was to be had in Orange at this point. On a brilliant cold but sunny Winter's day, with the sweet sounds of a guitarist on the terrace, the three of us enjoyed the Ploughman's platter, a bowl of the thrice-cooked chips (OMG!), the onion rings (not me, I'm allergic) and a great pumpkin, fetta, rocket and hazelnut salad. Topped off with a bottle of local wine (Philip Shaw Pinot Gris) I'd say life couldn't have been much better. Yes it could. When we went to pay the bill, we were delighted to find it was only $25 per head. Yes, all that food in the photo and the wine, just $75. Amazing. There we were, tucked under our nannie blankies (supplied) and with the terrace heaters roaring, listening to the artist strum and sing, sipping and slurping, sincerely, it was spectacular! On the opposite side of the building to the eatery, is the well-stocked Providore, bursting with veggies, fruits, cheeses, meats, nuts, grains, coffee and much more. This place is definitely worth stopping by. Photos give you some visual indication of what's on offer. So inspired by the wine we were, we headed up the vineyard straight afterward!
