I strongly recommend that pre-med course. I took the course last year in aim to prepare my self for the entrance exam in Austrian universities mainly and pass the MedAT , and at the same time also for the Italian IMAT exam and other universities in Hungary and Slovakia . Right after the course I passed successfully both the MedAT and the IMAT and was offered a study place in Medicine att the universities in Gratz and Pavia . I chose to take the course in German and the school team was very supportive and gave me the study materials both in German and English . Even though that all the teachers were native German , I had the chance to had for free also some private tutoring with the school teachers from the English division who instructed me about the English medical terminology in Biology and Anatomy . The teachers are all very professional and responsive , especially Dr. Dirk Andrea who was our Chemistry teacher and teach also at the Free University of Berlin , Dr. Jadranca , and the Physics teacher Dr. Stefan Kirstein who is the Physics teacher and teach as well the Humboldt University of Berlin . The teachers gave us every week , on the top of the regular planned lectures , additional office hours where we could ask questions about the homework and review our credit exams that we got weekly . All material is places in a well organized online system and accessible for us any time , and the teachers were available in between the lesson anytime . The office team help me with the application procedure to the IMAT in Italy , and they also organized at their academy in Berlin the entrance exams for Masaryk University in Czech Rep ans some other entrance exams for more universities in Poland and Slovakia. The classes are located in central Berlin and we were about 17 students in a class so there is personal attention when needed . All in all was good experience and i recommend it if you plan to prepare yourself for medical university entrance exams either in Germany , Austria or abroad . Hi Guys! I took the Pre-Med course in 2019 in Berlin Medical Academy. It was really great, especially by supporting me during my studies in preparation for applying to med schools in Poland.  Great experience in which I developed my knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics which helped me to be accepted in university abroad. The academy team  helped us to choose which medical universities to apply for ,  and they helped us also in the application process.  The study period in Berlin Medical Academy was an amazing experience, as this pre-med course has on high level of excellence. The school facilities are student-friendly, comfortable and located in the "heart" of city.   The classes schedule is also very accommodating to the time we need to put into self-studying. The teachers are competent and professional. They use teaching techniques to keep the student engaged in the topics discussed.  The teaching staff were very professional at explaining and presenting lectures. One of the thing I loved the most about it was that we could do the entrance tests to different European Medical Universities with the Academy in Berlin, instead of going to far cities such as Warsaw, Milan, Kaunas etc. I would strongly recommend this course. We had students in our class try to give the director feedback about the school (about the low quality of the material and issues with some teachers) and he kicked them out of school (with no refund)! I would never recommend this course to anyone. read more

This school is a lie! Everything that they told us before the course started was a lie. Please be sure to keep good notes of what they tell you before you start and record all conversations. Also make copies of all claims that they have on their website (as these can also change without notice). This should be content of the "pre-semester medicine" or is called on their website also "Vorsemester Med-AT", which can be a bit confusing. Therefore, I called the Medical Academy office before registering to make sure that I am actually booking the correct course and that it is "tailored" to the content of the Med-AT (as advertised on the website) as well as on time until the test ends. Both were confirmed to me and assured me that the course is both content, as well as timed with the entrance test. Then I trusted the statements of the Medical Academy and applied for the preseason medicine. Unfortunately this turned out to be a big failure: * 1/3 of the promised lessons were missing completely * Cognitive training was missing completely * the content was anything but "tailor-made" for the Med-AT * The teaching material was faulty and unusable (as the lecturers themselves said) * The teaching material was partly in English (although you have booked a German course) * the lecturers ignored questions from students and did not even know that the course should prepare for the Med-AT * The course did not end in time for the Med-AT (it took place even on the day of the test and the course should end only 2 weeks after the test) * The organization was a mess * the manager only seems to be on the savings of students and is not willing to constructive and personal conversation (instead he attacks students personally) * The staff is very rude ... the list unfortunately goes forever. After I spoke personally to the manager after the first lesson on the missing lessons and the shortcomings in the planning, even after 2 weeks no improvement. Then I wrote the manager an e-mail in which I addressed all these issues and asked him for a constructive personal conversation. He rejected this and instead became overbearing and personal in his answers. He seems to care only about the students' money and not that they benefit from the course and are well prepared for entrance exams. Finally, I decided to cancel the course because of inadequate performance after 2 weeks. My classmates were also very dissatisfied with the course and, according to a lecturer, this probably happens in every class. Do not give this "academy" your money and invest in some good books or maybe a tutor. An independent preparation is much cheaper and prepares you a lot better for the Med-AT (and probably for any other test) than this course. Don't get misled by the website - the course is an absolute rip-off and. You don't get what they promise you and what someone can expect to get for the money. Here are my observations: CONTENT / PREPARATION FOR MedAT (and probably for any other test) AS ADVERTISED: On their website they claim "ideal preparation" and "tailor-made teaching content". Even in a phone call prior to entering the contract, they said that the course is perfect for the preparation and will finish before the MedAT exam will take place. In the end, they scheduled teaching lessons not only within the week of the MedAT exam, but also on the very same date and even after the exam. So the timetable is not aligned to the test at all and there is no chance to cover all topics. I addressed it a couple of times with the office and the managing director but nothing changed. Furthermore, lecturers do not know that their students are attending this course to prepare for the MedAT, lecturers do not know the keyword list stated by Austrian Universities which is crucial for an ideal preparation and passing of the exam. Moreover, lecturers are not ideal for teaching or incapable. Content-related questions during classes often haven't been answered. Even comments from students that they can't follow the lecturers explanations anymore have been ignored. It seems, that the lecturers aim is to rush through all slides rather than transferring the knowledge. Some of them just seem to don't care and just do it for the money, some seem frightened by the managing director. QUALITY OF COURSE MATERIAL: They advertise courses as of high quality. One can expect for the amount of money which the students pay at least comprehensible and correct material. However, beside the unprofessional appearance of the slides, especially the Chemistry material is of poor quality. It is in many cases badly translated which makes it very hard to understand or is even not comprehensible at all. This has been confirmed by the teaching staff ("They just put that slides through a translator without checking"). Furthermore, the material is mathematically incorrect in parts (e.g. missing measurement units) and with regards to content (as confirmed by the teaching staff "the material is incorrect and not appropriate for teaching"). SCHEDULED TEACHING LESSONS: The website and information material claim to offer students 300 teaching hours (1 teaching hour = 45min) including preparation for the examination of cognitive skills. However, no classes for cognitive training have been scheduled at all. Counting all scheduled teaching units, I count ca. 197,3 teaching hours. This means that more than one third of the agreed service is not scheduled. Also there is no lab and teaching facilities are rather bad. ABOUT THE MANAGING DIRECTOR: All the mentioned issues have been spotted during the first 2 weeks and immediately addressed with the office or the managing director. When asking for a meeting with the Managing Director to discuss potential options to improve the situation, he declined. His aim is not to support students in achieving their goal by providing them with profound knowledge and good teaching or even improve the course. He just wants to get their money and run. After he gets the money, he couldn't care less for the students. When you confront him with issues, he gets very personal and aggressive. He approaches students via WhatsApp or from his personal email account, which is highly unprofessional. In my whole life, I haven't met a person who is less capable of being a representative of a company and being a managing director. He definitely does not act in good faith. So my advice: stay off this courses, stay away from Berlin Medical Academy and do not give this organisation your money!!! You are better off when you invest some money in books and study by yourself or even get a private tutor. You will be better prepared with less stress. read more
