My son is happy everyday. All the teachers he is with care for him and love him; I trust them. My…read moreson's language exploded as he sings songs, counts, knows colors, numbers, and shapes. Everyday he says new words, sentences. The education is excellent. I rave about the daycare and brag about how amazing it is. I want to thank all the girls, especially Erin, Ashley, and Melissa, Ms. Therese, and Jamie for all they do for us. Jamie, the director, is the best. She always listens to my concerns and feedback, and immediately takes action. Jamie communicates with me and helps me understand what's going on. I feel we are a team, not just a daycare and parent. I got a new job further from the daycare and would have moved my son if it was not for Jamie. I see how hard she works, and I see how the girls respect her and do good work for her. You can tell when she is not there, things are different. She deserves a huge raise!

I would 100 % not recommend sending my children to this facility…read more I was so happy that my twin daughters (ages 3) were accepted into Kiddie Academy to start on 9/11/23. After completing a tour and expressing in full details my children's needs and being told that the school was able to provide the needed support, I thought this would be a perfect setting for them. On their first day of school, I received at least five phone calls asking me to leave work and pick my children up. When asked why, I was told that they were having a hard time adjusting to the new environment and left the classroom a few times which was a "safety hazard" to the other children. When I made it to the school I spoke to Matilda Flores/ Assistant Director and Diana Lauth/ Director. Diana began talking to me about my children in the hallway as other parents were walking by and able to hear, which was a HIPPA violation so I asked her to continue the conversation in her office. When we got in her office she was extremely rude and asked me not to bring my daughters back to their facility as they "do not have enough teachers to provide the support my daughters need". Diana stated that the other children's safety were at risk because during reading time, one of my three year old daughters kept standing up and when she was asked to sit down she screamed and frightened another child". I asked Diana if it would help for me to come in to assist for a few hours to see if they'll adjust better being that it was their first day and was told no that wouldn't help. Diana then proceeded to say that she'd talk things over with her boss and call me back. The following day I took off of work and didn't hear anything back from Kiddie Academy. I called around 11am and was told that they'd call me back. At 5pm I received a phone call stating " The team thinks it would be best for me to find alternative daycare" and after one day of my children attending Kiddie Academy, they were being discharged. I did not receive any funds back and I am very hurt and upset that I trusted this facility to care for my daughters and was treated so bad on the first day. Kiddie academy is not welcoming at all and they only care for the money. Again I would not ever recommend this place!

Loving Hands Pre school was the best school that I could have chosen for my daughter. The teachers…read moreare lovely and are the best. Every morning they greet the parents and students with a warm smile and welcome them into the class. As a parent they made me feel that my child was safe and that's very important now a days. They also got to go on a lot of field trips through the year. My favorite was the pumpkin patch in October. Bottom line this school is amazing and I would recommend every parent to send their child to this school.

After my three year old (who has never been in day care or preschool) attended this school for less than 48 hours. I was told that, due to the fact that he would not sit still for circle time & follow directions (the routine of the class)-100% & that if he couldn't do so within the next 3 days (signed up for the last two weeks of the school year & paid registration fee for summer program to follow) he could no longer attend. They placed my son on a 1:1 for someone to follow him around as though he was a threat to their preschool. If you are truely familiar with the Montessori Methods.....this is not it! They appear to have the Montessori tools for learning upon viewing the school/classroom, but they do not actual follow the teaching methods of it! If your child does not follow directions 100 % & does not immediately adapt, the Directress Lenore will be very condescending, biased & down right offensively rude-even suggesting have my son evaluated for "special services." The teachers will smile so beautifully in your face just to "kick you & your child in the back." They do not possess character traits of "loving hands" nor the actual "Montessori Methods." These preschoolers today are our future & if you want to build your child's self-esteem within the educational setting-this is NOT the place.

Review for Bayshore Headstart…read more I am writing this review to warn parents about the unprofessional and unsafe environment at Bayshore Headstart, specifically in Miss Alexis' classroom (classroom five). My three-year-old son attended this school, and I was deeply concerned by the conditions and the treatment he received. Unprofessional Conduct and Unsafe Environment The school is dirty, unorganized, and unprofessional. I was appalled by the lack of cleanliness and the chaotic environment. The teacher, Miss Alexis, has been very inappropriate and unprofessional. My son has repeatedly told me that she hits him, squeezes his hand, and yells at him. When I confronted her, her response was dismissive and highly inappropriate, questioning why I still brought him to the school. Teacher's Behavior Miss Alexis' behavior is unacceptable. She appears to have severe issues, including being loud, unprofessional, and possibly substance abuse problems. Her appearance and behavior, including smoking excessively and having a strong odor, raise serious concerns about her fitness to be around young children. Lack of Support and Services Throughout the school year, I have been trying to get services for my son, but Miss Alexis consistently denied there were any issues, claiming he was doing well. This lack of acknowledgment meant the school district did not provide the necessary services. Only towards the end of the year did they start acknowledging the problems, which should have been addressed much earlier. Racial Insensitivity It has come to my attention that my son is the only Black child in the classroom, and Miss Alexis has demonstrated a lack of understanding and sensitivity regarding racial issues. Her communication skills are poor, and she does not know how to interact appropriately with the children or their parents. Immediate Actions Taken Due to the ongoing issues and my concerns for my son's safety, I have removed him from Bayshore Headstart before the end of the school year. It is traumatic for any child to endure such treatment, and as a mother, I could not allow this to continue. Despite requesting an emergency CSE meeting, the school district stated that nothing could be done at this point in the year, which is unacceptable. Conclusion My experience with Bayshore Headstart has been extremely negative, and I urge other parents to be vigilant about their children's education and well-being. Ensure that your child feels comfortable and safe in their learning environment, and do not hesitate to take action if you suspect any form of abuse or neglect. The behavior and lack of support from Miss Alexis and the school reflect poorly on their character and the institution's mission.

Loretta Miss Rachel J is very incorrect about Bayshore…read moreHeadstart and Mrs. Alexis. Bayshore Headstart is a very good program and the staff is very professional. My granddaughter was in Mrs. Alexis class for 2 years. She learned a lot from Mrs. Alexis. Miss Rachel is incorrect about her son being the only black student because my granddaughter is BLACK. My granddaughter complained her son was hitting her, other children, Alexis and the other staff members. The fun thing about Mrs. Alexis being racist is a joke because Mrs. Alexis is Black.. Mrs. Alexis been teaching at this school for over 30 years. Some of her students now are grandchildren to her former students. She has taught generations at Bayshore Headstart. Mrs. Alexis is a fair and loving teacher. Don't let one BAD APPLE turn you from getting your child or children the best start in their EDUCATION.
