The staff truly goes above and beyond, and the business center with free printing and coffee was a lifesaver. The gym was spotless and had great equipment too. The only downside for me was the early‑morning noise from nearby bus and train routes - something to consider if you're a light sleeper and my rent/fees were similar to my rent in Newport Beach (2022). The garage is always broken causing some frustration when trying to get home. Otherwise, it's a wonderful place to call home when living in an apartment in Durham, North Carolina. I lived right next to the leasing office, and the common areas were always super clean. It was also very quiet, but that may have more to do with the pandemic. I liked the fact that the parking areas were right below the building on the ground floor, which made it very convenient. Everything in the apartment itself worked just fine. Given that this was in North Carolina, it was inevitable that roaches would occasionally roam into the apartment. Every Monday residents could sign up to have the apartment sprayed. I did that once and I never saw a roach again. The management also did a great job making things better for residents during the pandemic. There were events held outdoors throughout the year. Sometimes food trucks would come park downstairs. It was nice to actually talk to a real human being face-to-face during the pandemic. They also put in a new path around the building so residents could talk walks.

Sometimes in the middle of night and sometimes the day which can interrupt meetings when working from home. Can take hours for fire fighters to investigate the problem in order to turn off the alarms. 2. Ridicilous electrical bills at up to $500/month for a ~1200 sq ft apartment in the winters and months. This is clearly due to improper insulation on the first floor above the garage that management will not acknowledge. Management has installed Google Nest for smarter energy usage but that does not solve the core issue of not being properly insulated. It is not only my apartment as I have talked with many others on the first floor that are having the same issue. 3. Major problems with package delivery through the Luxer system. Packages are often lost, delivered to the wrong building, or delayed. They require a credit card on file to pay for packages that are not picked up within 3 days ($5/day). That is we are automatically charged for delivery mistakes. Management claims Luxer requires this but the Luxer app states "Property Management requires a valid credit card on file in order to pick up packages". No other options are available outside of Luxer and management is not considering replacing with a competent system. 4. With all of these problems, instead of solving the biggest issues, management chose to use budget to completely remodel the gym and club room which has taken several months of not having access there. Both were fine as was and I don't believe anybody but management (and maybe potential renters who they want to impress) cares about better aesthetics of the club room or gym. Management claims they have no control over any of these things. As a renter, I don't care who is responsible. If management will not be accountable for these things by blaming things outside of their control then the problem is still not solved. I will not be renewing my lease.

DO NOT RENT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES…read more My experience with Triangle Town Crossing Apartments has been an absolute nightmare, and it started on move-in day. The day my moving truck arrived from Atlanta was also the day I found out that the 2-bedroom apartment I was shown and told I was applying for was NOT the apartment I was actually getting. I specifically chose this community because I wanted a unit that was: * Away from the freeway * Filled with natural light from multiple sides * Close to the dog park These were not preferences--they were requirements that I clearly communicated to my leasing agent, Lina. Instead, I was given a unit directly next to the freeway, on a basement-level floor with almost no natural light, and on the complete opposite side of the property from the dog park. The options I was given were: 1. Take a 1-bedroom apartment instead 2. Take a 3-bedroom apartment and pay over $350 more per month 3. Get my money back and somehow find another apartment that same day while standing there with an entire moving truck full of my belongings. Melanie, the leasing agent who showed me the original apartment and told me it was the unit I was applying for, seemed completely unconcerned about the situation and offered little help. Victoria, the on-site manager, essentially told me my choices were to move into the wrong apartment or somehow find another place to live that same day. Now, only one week into my lease, they have found another 2-bedroom apartment that actually matches what I originally requested--but they expect me to pay over $350 more per month for it. I understand mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is showing someone one apartment, having them sign for another, and then putting them in an impossible situation after their entire life has already been loaded onto a moving truck and transported across state lines. I am one week into a 14-month lease, and if this is how residents are treated before they even unpack a box, I have very little confidence in what the next 14 months will look like.

The proximity to North Hills and Glennwood Ave. makes this apartment complex a fantastic location with a great price point. The Raleigh Greenway is directly behind the complex and is a nice addition. The apartments are spacious and the updates are beautiful. These units also have gas fireplaces and stoves, which was a huge plus for me. However, everything wasn't all rosy. I had several issues that maintenance had to address during the course of my time there. Maintenance was fantastic and responsive, but I thought the number of issues I ran into during three months was a bit much (garbage disposal leaking, front door seal not working and letting heat escape, fireplace fan issues, outlet voltage issues). I lived in one of the back units near the greenway entrance on the bottom floor and unfortunately, the sewer smell was overwhelming at times. It would even get into my apartment via the pipes (yuck!). The hot water takes a while to warm up and the apartments are noisy. I could hear my upstairs neighbor frequently as well as the dog beside me and the family with a young baby behind me. I understand that apartments won't be soundproof, but this was a bit more than I would have liked. Valet Trash is an upgrade that this apartment complex SERIOUSLY needs to consider adding. Maybe these issues would not have been a problem if I would have lived in another building and on a higher floor. Would consider living here again if on a budget.

What drew me here was the proximity to NC State and downtown, and the minimum age requirement of 21+ which meant it wasn't student housing. Overall, I loved living here. The apartments are super cozy, and the staff is extremely friendly and professional. If you work on NC State's campus, there are a few Wolfline options to choose from so you don't need to purchase a parking pass. It is also super close to a lot of really nice walking paths, and you can always walk a few steps to catch a view of the sunset over Lake Raleigh. The kitchen in my apartment was AMAZING--updated appliances, spacious kitchen island, and plenty of pantry storage. The biggest con of living here is the noise! The walls are really thin, and since my bedroom shared a wall with my neighbors' living room, I could often hear my neighbor's loud, deep voice talking until 1 or 2 in the morning. Similarly, I could hear my upstairs neighbor using the restroom and doing other personal things. I also happened to have a courtyard facing apartment, and people tend not to be very aware/considerate of the fact that the noise from the courtyards travels directly up into the apartments. Another inconvenience is the lack of trash/recycling shoots and inability to "buzz" your guests in. In the winter and rainy months it can be quite inconvenient to empty your trash, and while I lived there, most residents were super lazy about breaking down their boxes. As a result, many days you couldn't even access the recycling area since people started to just put their recycling on the ground *next to* the bin. -___- Come on people. Most of the problems were caused by other residents being inconsiderate/not following the community guidelines. I sometimes wished the staff would be a little stricter about enforcing community guidelines--especially the trash stuff.

I submitted a contact request through the property's website and early that morning I received a call from Matthew. From the very beginning, he was incredibly pleasant, professional, and genuinely helpful. We quickly realized that Bell Chapel Hill didn't have an apartment available within the timeframe I needed, so I expected the conversation to end there. Instead, Matthew went above and beyond to help me with my search. He referred me to several of their sister properties that might better fit my timeline and even took the time to recommend areas he thought would be a good fit for me as someone moving to the area. Following our call, he sent me a detailed email with the sister properties he recommended, along with suggestions for places I should check out once I move to North Carolina. What impressed me most is that Matthew provided this level of service even though I wasn't going to be renting from Bell Chapel Hill. He could have simply told me they had no availability but instead he took the initiative to make sure I had resources to continue my search. I've lived in and rented many apartments over the years and I can honestly say this was some of the best customer service I've experienced during an apartment search. Matthew made me feel like he genuinely wanted to help me find the right home, not just make a sale. Bell Partners is lucky to have someone like Matthew on their team. If this is an example of the level of service they provide their residents, I can absolutely understand why someone would want to live here.

Test the REAL answer: watch how many enter & exit w/out masks. See if they ask anyone to wear a mask when they enter without one. See if they discuss mask mandates during apartment tour. Look for mask requirement signs beyond the 1 door. Ask the tenants (if you visit) if people often roam without masks. Visit the lobby and gym and note how many are there without masks - you'll notice no signs and that staff say nothing. Additional note: I discovered they are using a service like BirdEye to scrub customer reviews they don't agree with. Initial post: When we interviewed for the apartment we were calmly REASSURED that masks were enforced and had no feeling that they would have a reason to lie about that important issue. Move-in day and every day since has proved this to be wrong. There are children under 5, people with immune issues, uninsured & under-insured, and people who have lost work (and can't afford excessive Covid-related medical bills) all living here but they do not care enough to make this be an issue of importance. There are more reasons to enforce this (for guests, visiting vendors & tenants), if not just for the greater good of the tenants. They have ONE sign on ONE door in the entire building for hundreds that live/visit and use multiple entrances, elevators, etc. They don't care that the health system is weighed down with Covid patients, that we've seen tenants wheeled out in ambulances with Covid too. They have had a chance to be a light in the community, but instead took the indifferent/complacent/complicit path that is guided by corporate greed. Will update review as needed.
