The first was back in…read more2015 when another "company" had convinced my elderly parents they needed to replace the entire pipeline from the house to the sewer in the street. Essig ran cameras thru the pipes revealing no compromise in the lines thus, saving my parents thousands & performing a simple de-clog. The second time was a few weeks ago when a very old, unmaintained, oil furnace quit in the middle of a deep freeze leaving my elderly mother with Dementia without heat. They "repaired" the furnace enough to buy us some time to make a decision regarding replacement & even made a house call off the clock when my mother accidentally thru the kill switch on the heater. They were efficient in the install of the new heater & helped me orchestrate the service without being present (I live out of town) in a trustworthy manner.

And never mind that I arranged MY schedule around them . This is not the first time this has happened with them - do you really mean to tell me that you already have emergencies scheduled in to August so you can't service my unit -which I purchased from you because you said the one I had was old and needed to be replaced. And forget actually talking to someone in the office - all you get is an answering service

Dedicated service at a good value (as plumbers go...;-)…read more Needed the kitchen sink faucet set replaced after some years of service. Moen provided a FULL warranty replacement set (Moen rocks!) and Dominic the M&M guy installed this handily for a reasonable charge. Some months later there was an internal issue with this part as well as a number of house plumbing issues that I figured to address at the same time. Brandon and his other brother Brandon set about these other issues but noted that the sink needed a specific Moen replacement part. Meanwhile, they tackled the house pressure regulator, which had been a real challenge for a prior plumber for some reason. Brandon measured the outside pressure and matched this up so our showers were still able to provide the same oomph. This was the root problem to our "water heater issue" - which included relief valve output due to surges. Unfortunately, we still had to buy/install a new overflow bladder. At my request, they also checked all the valves under the sinks and toilets for operation and leaks to see if they needed their packing adjusted or to be replaced. Note: After years of non-use, the typical valve used has packing that can dry and pull back leading to a leak. You can simply tighten up the screw on the front to tighten the packing. If you do replace this valve - go to a better quality ball valve design choice. We also had a significant leak in one of the exterior hose valves - had these replaced with the newer long-valve design that places the shut-off point internal to the house rather than right at the handle. We had them switch out the other one to this, as this will reduce the chance of cracked pipes (and possibly a very soggy cellar) from freezing. Dominic returned and facilitated communications with Moen and eventually did a re-installation. Moen provided an assembly and eventually express shipped a WHOLE NEW faucet set to get this problem solved. M&M was kind enough to significantly discount the charges on the faucet troubleshooting and re-replacement.

We moved from the Reading area to Ephrata and had furnace problems. I didn't renew my maintenance…read morecontract since I was really busy and wasn't sure if they supported propane furnace in a manufactured home. They did and when I called this morning the tech arrived at 11am. He diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes and got us running. We had used a local company and they took five days and never resolved the issue. The furnace is 16 years old and needs to be replaced, which I will only trust UGI to take care of. I also made sure my maintenance plan was paid for the year. We had UGI natural gas in our old home for 19 years and had the maintenance plan for six years. Well worth the cost for complete piece of mind. Sales rep gave us a price for a new furnace on 1/6/2020 and they installed it today 1/8/2020. You can't ask for better service than that. Unfortunately we found that the condenser-coil is bad and since the a/c is just as old, they will come back in late March to replace them. Not what we wanted to hear but at least we know what we are in for.
