My name is Paulette Christensen. I went to Berks Cardiology looking for help with a serious heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I have a very high chance of stroke. On a two week heart monitor I was having a-fib nineteen percent of that two weeks. My hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is an inherited disease. I was treated horribly. Berks Cardiology doctors treated my like junior high bullies. My hypertrophic cardiomyopathy should have been diagnosed by them. Instead they lied about me, they refuse to look at results from Hershey Hospital. Results that cause my heart to beat very fast and my blood pressure to sky rocket. Luckily my hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is genetic. Other wise they were condemning to sudden death and stroke. read more

Doctors are great. The people that do the scheduling suck. Never take calls, scheduling is done without your approval.

I had an echocardiogram done in preparation for surgery. An Anesthesiologist told me of a new diagnosis written by Cardiology. I was not informed of any such diagnosis. I scheduled an appointment with a rude scheduler. Have to wait a month to see a Cardiologist. I'm not happy with this practice. read more

Everyone that worked here was kind, helpful and attentive. Dr. Waxler is as good as it gets and makes light out of any situation. I would recommend anyone with heart concerns to Berks Cardiologists. read more

I give Berks Cardiology a BIG FAT 0 (ZERO stars). Never go here. Head straight to Philadelphia if you need a cardiologist. You probably must walk in having a major heart attack if you want to be seen. They would not see my mom post open heart surgery she had on March 13, 2015, (for a simple valve repair). When she complained of chest pain and SOB, they blamed it on fluid retention, stating it's all normal!!! We had to beg for an appointment. SHE HAD PE's!!!! We only found that out after a week, when we finally decided to take her to the emergency room at St. Joeseph's. These dr.s only saw my mom 2x in 15 days when we she was admitted there. They never even saw her at discharge. She ended up with Constrictive Pericarditis, and had to be readmitted to Hershey. In Hershey, She had 4 major open heart surgeries in 3 weeks. The PE's weakened her heart and she ended up having permanent right heart damage. My mother passed away on June 18th, in Hershey Hospital. She was only 64, she was healthy, full of life and had 9 grandkids, she was married to my dad for 46 years. Now she is gone, from something we feel Berks Cardiologist could have caught or prevented. Her first surgery went well. PE's are post op complications and they treated my mom like she was a joke. This was NOT HEART DISEASE!!! Also, the whole time leading up to her valve repair, the front desk was a joke, never returning calls, very unorganized and unprofessional, we felt a total lack in faith in this practice and because of that, we had her valve repair in Hershey Hospital.
