Fine Italian dining at its best! And yes, in Berlin…read more I enjoyed a late lunch here. I had walked past the restaurant on numerous occasions in the evenings when it is rather crowded. They offer seating both outdoors and indoors. I opted to dine outdoors. Nice atmosphere. The waiter spoke German, Italian, and English. He was professional and efficient. Complimentary warm, fresh bread and olives were served first. I ordered a Latte Macchiato and the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, al dente. It was simple, not loaded with many ingredients, just garlic, roasted red peppers, Parmesan, and olive oil. Delicious. Reminiscing makes my mouth water. It was a pleasant expensive.

Located just down the street from the Brandonburg Gate, this restaurant is easily accessible. They have nice interior seating Plus, they have a very large patio with a lot of tables. What this restaurant offers is, as mentioned, a traditional Italian cuisine. From this, you have a lot of choices: pasta, pizza, and the like. They also have a full bar, plus a good selection of wine, and beer. Plus, all of the expected soft drinks. The food here is prepared fairly well. There's really nothing to complain about in terms of the overall presentation and/or flavor. On a lighter note, our server seem to be pretty grumpy the last time we were there. More than once he would step away from his tables and move out into the front of the restaurant to have a smoke. Then, he would reluctantly come back to take care of his duties. But, nonetheless, he got his job done. Overall, if you want some pretty good Italian food in Berlin, this may be the place for you

It was great to be able to just walk in and be seated right away. Our waiter, Rosen, was extremely nice. My dad had some type of pizza -- I think it is known for the pizza but they have a full menu. I did not try it, but I can tell u it is thin crust & square shape, which I really like. My dad loved it. I got the vegetable lasagna with bechamel sauce. Very yummy and huge portion! I had half right there, the rest to-go and that was breakfast for two more days. I woke up craving it! The service was also very fast, but not because it tasted or looked pre-made. It's not fancy but certainly not like a food court. It would be perfectly fine for a casual weeknight date. I've been to a million Italian restaurants that are way fancier and absolutely more pricey, and this place is better than many of them. It seems to have various locations around Berlin, so check it out if u r visiting, touring, here for work. It's a versatile kind a place, plus u can pick up almost anything else u need in the Alexa Mall!

You pick what pizza you want and the pieces are huge, we normally got two for each and some Fritz cola. This is hands down the best quick bite I've had here in Berlin with a warm, comforting, and inviting surrounding. Every time we have walked in it has been slow only to fill up entirely in a matter of minutes. You can't go wrong with anything they have laid out. I would recommend coming here more than once to truly appreciate their selection of pizza.

The real attraction of this place is the staff. I haven't checked but they come across as Italians who lived in Germany for some time, offering us a warm welcome and a professional, pleasant service throughout dinner, while speaking a combination of Italian and German (with a good command of English). Their honest recommendations and attention throughout the evening have been of the highest quality. We had two main dishes from the specials menu: (1) sea food (scallops and giant shrimps) with black pasta, covered with a rich and heavy cream. The pasta was good, but a little on the over-cooked end of the spectrum. The sea food itself was good. (2) The other dish was pasta with cheese and truffles: prepared right in front of us with much showmanship (see the photos). My friend was satisfied with the taste. The restaurant is located in the middle of what seems to be a residential area. It was practically empty. The menu is long and diverse so the likelihood of the ingredients being fresh, locally sourced daily from nearby farms fields is pretty low. The portions are massive (think US-sized) using lots of cream - which makes the experience a test for your stomach capacity, less a test for your taste buds.

Tomato soup was excellent. All of the pasta dishes were fresh, hot, and delicious. My truffle pasta was very good. Creamy, hot, and the fresh truffles were excellent. Luckily they found one small table for the three of us, but otherwise, the inside and outside dining was overflowing. They also speak little to no English so hopefully you speak German. I think we only go the table because the maitre'd figured giving us a table was easier than trying to figure out what I was saying. Haha! While not as amazing as the two other places I reviewed in Berlin that were also Italian, it was pretty good. We ordered the margherita pizza to start and it tasted good. Sadly it asked for it crispy or well done and they couldn't understand so it was not undercooked but pale as heck. The carbonara was okay but had cream - a big no, no - and was too heavy to finish. The chicken verde (a green peppercorn sauce) was very good and I would highly recommend it. The spaghetti bolognese was pretty good but not as good as other places we tried in Berlin. Still, I would recommend trying this place. Just make sure you have a reservation!
