Well, not one to ignore a new dish to try, I checked every restaurant in the area and decided the best ones would be here (or so I'd hoped). As a singleton, I got seated with a table that included a couple from Swabian area and a local gent that spends half his year in Spain. It was nice to have people to chat with and they were very patient with my German (as most Germans are). I ordered the Wiener schnitzel and an Augustin Dunkel to start. The beer was very good and the massive fresh schnitzel was equally so. I wasn't sure I'd have room for dessert, but as I was on a mission that I could not fail... I ordered the small potion of Kaiserschmarrn. It was still quite generous and it's times like these another dining partner would be helpful. They were little fluffy pillows of pancake, lightly dusted with powdered sugar with plump raisins in and around each pillow. There was a small dessert glad of homemade applesauce that was so thick. It reminded me of a good apple butter. There were also some pecans livers on the plate and in the applesauce.. I was very full and happily satisfied by the end of the meal. Service was excellent and swift. This is definitely one of the more traditional restaurants that you'll find here in the area and I highly recommend a meal here or at least, dessert.

The ourdoor seating was full, but Nicole welcomed us with a huge smile to a table inside. Andres met us inside and quickly served us our drinks and took our order. He was friendly and joking with us as he worked. We ordered schnitzel and beef as well as apple strudel for dessert. The food was outstanding! All of us greatly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended!

The server wasn't the quiet, professional German service we've come to expect, I would label her more like "actively disinterested". She couldn't care less about us, never checked on us, delivered the check without a word. The other gentleman working a table that appeared to be a family he knew, was very nice abcs he actually checked on us, so thank you. The food: we both ordered wiener schnitzel, since it was our last day in Germany on this trip. This was amazing! The schnitzel was delivered in the typical Austrian way. Cooked in clarified butter, served with lemon and lingonberry preserves, simply delicious. The pommes frites were meh, very dry and lacking that typical European taste from being cooked in beef tallow. My guess is they weren't. The dish is also offered with kartofflesalat (potato salad), so maybe go for that instead. Bottom line: very cool interior, they have a micro brewery to boot, and the schnitzel was very tasty. Would recommend overall, just avoid if possible, the blonde kelnerin (waitress) she seems like she'd rather be doing anything else than serving.
