My granddaughter is just finishing up her first year at Palisades Preschool in the Toddler 2s…read moreprogram. She started in September with three full days a week and loved it so much her parents increased her to five days. This was her very first time away from home, and the teachers were incredibly kind and reassuring. We were worried in the beginning about how she would adjust, but they sent sweet photos of her being comforted and held, and thanks to their warmth and patience, she adjusted beautifully. Before long, she was eagerly looking forward to school each day! She adores all the special classes, but music with Miss Momo on Fridays is definitely her favorite. One of the highlights of the year was the holiday show they performed for the families. Seeing those little ones dressed as elves, singing, and shaking their instruments putting their whole hearts into it was absolutely precious. Our granddaughter has truly blossomed at Palisades Preschool. She's become quite the social butterfly and talks all the time about her friends at school. The teachers often send photos and videos during the day, and it's so clear from those big smiles that the kids are having the time of their lives while learning and growing. On days that I pick her up from school, I'm amazed at how joyful and excited all the children are at Palisades Preschool. It's been such a wonderful year, and while we're a little sad to see it end, we're thrilled she'll be joining the summer camp and moving on to the 3s class this fall.

The next space was a dance area with PLENTY of room for adults and kids to hang out and dance; the tv is a huge one made of 6 smaller TVs and hooked up to an Xbox with Kinect dance for kids. Right across from there are three partitioned areas: one for legos, one for dress up (more girly pink colors) and the third is a kitchen/ grocery store with shopping carts, food items, pots and pans. Beyond the little play areas, there is more interactive play with three huge slides for bigger kids, a little train for kids to ride and push each other and an entire area dedicated for big competitive kids who can use the plastic balls to load up and point and shoot them (low impact) across from each other upstairs. The guns are stationary but they do make loud noise. My two year old got scared when he was standing underneath. Overall, A+ on the design and creativity of play. But the place wouldn't run smoothly if it was packed. Service is definitely lacking and no one was checking on safety. Some kids were unattended. Also, the cafe personal pizza ($5) is tiny! Don't think it's an actual personal sized pizza. If you kid eats a bit, it wouldn't satisfy him/ her for sure. Also, bathroom stalls need to be updated; some don't lock. Parking was very impacted as well! I had to park on the other side of the building and walk on the street around. Maybe they need an entry way to be available on that side for convenience. Instruction is not personalized and one instructor is teaching multiple children at one time all who need different help/instruciton. Room is noisy and unsuitable for study. Tutor was rude and demeaning. My child left in tears twice. I cancelled after two sessions and they would not refund my money. Cost me $500 for two sessions with no help for my child. This is a scam and this company has no interest in really helping children.

Plenty of room to sit and eat too. As of 8/20/18 - they will be doing construction on/near the Lincoln Tunnel and will be closing a lane on each side. Depending on where you're coming from and how far, plan your route accordingly as to avoid traffic.

Granatell Athletic Stadium by Just Jersey Festival inside a 35-acre park-like campus of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey. This event is a benefit for Don Bosco Fathers Club and features 17 gourmet food trucks, music from DJ Louis, beer and pony rides, a petting zoo, and a bounce house for children. We managed to grab a culinary taste of mac and cheese, eggplant parmesan garlic knot slider, skirt steak sandwich and coleslaw (Argentina), ground beef lomo style empanada (Peru), and peanut butter cup cupcake. To walk off our meal, we managed to tour around the campus, which comprises three academic buildings and two athletic complexes. It was a nice day spent outdoors.
