Stopped here because I had a problem with my tire sensors on my 22 Harley Road glide as I was traveling through. I was on my way home to Indiana after a 5000 mile trip over 8 days on my Road Glide when I experienced a rear wheel bearing failure. Fortunately, I was 15 miles from Bergdale and was able to make it there after the most harrowing 15 miles of riding I've experienced. Once there, it was 2 pm, so I prepared to have to call off of work the next day and stay in a hotel awaiting service. John the service advisor immediately agreed with me that I had likely had a bad wheel bearing, moved things around on his schedule and had a mechanic start on my bike immediately. He kept me apprised the entire time, giving me any news they had. Fortunately for me, there was no damage my wheel, they had parts in stock, and were able to complete this job in under two hours and had me back on the way. The Harley dealership network is undoubtedly one of the best selling features that the Motor Company has. The kicker to all this is I had been in a previous dealership earlier in the trip that should have diagnosed this issue and made my trip to Bergdale unnecessary. I'm only grateful that when the failure did happen that I was close to a dealer that had incredibly competent staff and knew how to correct my issue. The friendly service I got from Bergdale's staff and being able to so easily chat with them open and honestly about the service I received took a very stressful situation and made it one that put me at ease. I'm 7 hours from Bergdale, but based on my experience when I look for a new bike, they would be my first call and my experience will be one I'll look back fondly on and be grateful for always. We were coming back from a long trip home from IA and I wanted to make a stop at this Harley store. Walked in & nobody even acknowledged me so I just went on looking. My boyfriend walked in a few mins later they looked him up & down about 4 times and proceeded to still not acknowledge us. Was in the store for about 10 min with clothes in my hand & nobody asked if we wanted a fitting room or if we needed help finding anything so I set the clothes down & walked out. read more

A well known fact about Bergdale Harley-Davidson is THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS at this store! My husband purchased almost $300.00 worth of clothing. They did not have 3XL so my husband bought the 2XL. The shirts did not fit and the store did not have 3XL for me (wife) to exchange. The woman at the counter said I couldn't do the return for store credit or choose other items for myself! I was not treated nicely. I left the store with the wrong size shirts and Bergdale's kept my cash! My husband was NOT HAPPY! I take care of his shopping. NOT EVER GOING BACK AND BANNED MY HUSBAND TOO! read more

I bought a 100th Anniversary HD Vrod from these folks in the spring of 2004. In 2018 I traded it in for a 2018 115th Anniversary Fatboy. The Vrod was as good a bike as I have owned. I am not as happy with the Fatboy but it is a very good bike. A point I need to make is Bergdale HD has been very good to deal with from both a fair price and level of service standpoint. They are very good business people. I highly recommend to anyone I know. I own 5 motorcycles so I have some experience with other dealers. While I like the other dealers, these folks are my favorite because they earned my positive comments. read more

I am super excited! I have been looking for an obsolete riding jacket and Remi at Bergdale Harley was a complete angel! She not only located it for me she sold it to me! Now that might not be a big deal to you but I called and I am in California! So this transaction took place by phone! She completed my search,as this jacket pink and white matches my 2015 Road Glide! She was really nice and a professional while taking my order. We keep getting disconnected however she always had a great disposition! At the end of the transaction her supervisor completed my sale and was very nice as well. I just didnt rate them 5 stars yet as I am waiting for my jacket to come in the mail. The supervisor told me she will "try" to get it in the mail today. Hopefully I will get it by Monday or Tuesday of next week! Thanks Remi for all your help! You made this Harley rider really happy! I am very, very disappointed with this store. I stopped by today and went to the back section where the discounts were and found a great jacket that fits me perfectly. There was a tag on it that said 70% off so I took it to the front counter to pay for it and the woman behind the counter said that they could not honor the 70% off. She said that was a sale from July and they could not honor that price for me today. I asked her how much of a discount she would give me and she said only 30%. The same thing happened to me in May when I was there. I found a leather jacket that had a discount on it as well and they would not honor that discount either. I left the store without buying anything. I went on to Waterloo to the Harley Davidson there and bought almost $200 worth of items because they honor their sales. read more
