A tradition that started with 4 or 5 of us and has grown to 8. We have not actually bought a Tree from there in years (They're Overpriced) but our friends always do, they love the tradition of cutting their own tree, their oldest son has taken on the responsibility, something he is very proud of. There is obviously MUCH MUCH more than just trees though, Our kids love the animals, santa, snacks, and shops. We always bring a few adult beverages to chat around the outdoor firepits, spend quality time together roaming the property, petting the animals, indulging their delicious foods and making new memories. Williams is without a doubt the best option in the Rockford Area and I would highly recommend bringing your family and friends.

Seems like the majority is Frazier but we went pine this year for the first time. Loved the different areas spread all over to cut your own. They even have atvs driving around to take your cut tree to the shake station. If you have little kids there's some fun stuff and they have drinks and food. Happy we ventured here. We had "the wife" as our photographer and she was all about the groom's family - taking many pictures of that family. When it came to MY family - and I was paying for the service she was stingy and did not take the "money shots". There was very little creativity in the pictures, either. Very stagnant posing.... It's a moment that has come and gone and can never be replicated. Thank GOD I had friends and family that took very artistic photos of the day. Surprised this company is still in business...and the photography on their website is deceiving.

As part of a promotion of some sort, we were able to book Summer for a low price. Overall, I was pleased with the communication between Summer and me when planning our big day. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to be said in our ceremony which was very nice considering my husband and I are not very religious people. Summer came out to our rehearsal dinner and did a dry run through what was going to be happening on our special day. I have to give them only 3 stars because during our ceremony, Summer at some point during our vows substituted my husband's name with Brad- his name is Kyle. In the moment, we couldn't believe that it had happened.. and it was of course the joke of the night which got old really quickly. I felt bad for my husband but luckily our pgotogrphoto took care of that pretty quickly, putting a stop to the teasing by dinner time. It was also unclear as to when we needed to place the rings on each other fingers and say "I do". Some suggestions maybe? Have a ceremony script that has blank spots in place of a person's name and when it comes time for a wedding, write in the names of the people. I think what happened was Summer was reading from the already printed ceremony script that had random peoples names and never crossed theirs out and had jotted ours in on the sides or not at all. And during the rehearsal dinner, when practicing our entrances and parts of the ceremony, be clear as to when the rings are placed on the fingers and after what line we say "I do". We've never been married before so we count on you to guide us.

The light fixtures are beautiful and it's a great example of how rustic farmhouse is done well. There are plenty of areas to take photos - water features, hallways, anywhere in the pavilion and outside. It's stunning! Service was very quick, maybe a little too quick for my liking but it's fine. You start your dinner with a salad. I thought it was delicious - I was worried that it was going to be soggy since it comes dressed however it was great and not soggy at all. My fiancé and I tried the filet mignon and bacon wrapped chicken for our entrees. Both were very good and prepared well. For sides there were seasonal vegetables. The drinks here are made strong, tip your bartender - they do a great job!

However, for the amount of money we paid, the level of organization and communication from the staff was not what we expected. Throughout the planning process, we were sent incorrect invoices numerous times. One invoice was $8,000 more than what we actually owed, and I had to catch and correct the mistake. Having to repeatedly double-check invoices created unnecessary stress during an already expensive and stressful planning process. Our rehearsal was also not very organized. The staff was not particularly directive about where people should stand, how things would flow, or exactly what we were supposed to be practicing. A lot of the direction felt vague, and we left the rehearsal still feeling unsure about how the ceremony was actually going to run. Unfortunately, that lack of communication continued on our wedding day. Our event coordinator came in that morning and asked me how the day was going to go. I asked if she had spoken with the coordinator who had conducted our rehearsal, and she said she had not. She then questioned why the rehearsal coordinator had us practice walking a certain way if we were not doing a first look. At that point, I was already extremely overwhelmed, and one of my bridesmaids had to step in and communicate with the coordinator because I was close to having a nervous breakdown. There were also several last-minute questions that should have already been handled. About 15 minutes before our ceremony, I received a message asking who was going to finish putting the glasses on our champagne wall, even though it had previously been discussed that the venue staff would be taking care of this. When it was time to line up for the ceremony, there was also confusion about where everyone was supposed to go. We ended up getting behind the tree line and walking through the apple trees, to the point where my now-husband almost saw me before the ceremony. Our event coordinator also asked multiple times where different people were supposed to go, which was concerning because these details should have already been coordinated. I want to emphasize that the venue itself is beautiful, and we genuinely enjoyed our wedding and the memories we made there. Our issue was not with the space -- it was with the level of communication, organization, and coordination leading up to and during the ceremony. For such a significant investment, we expected the staff to be more prepared, communicate with one another, and take more of the logistical stress off of us rather than adding to it. Unfortunately, much of the coordination fell back on us and our wedding party, which is not what we expected when paying for a professional wedding venue. I don't regret having our wedding there because the day itself was special and beautiful, but based on our experience, the service and coordination could have been significantly better.
