I came in to urgent care for a sharp pain in the ball of my foot when walking and running. The…read moreoffice staff were great and I was seen fairly quickly. HOWEVER, after my x-ray the doctor told me my sesamoid was naturally separated but not fractured, just inflamed. They gave me a pad for my shoe and basically said to rest for two weeks and then see how it felt. Because I wanted more clarity on my diagnosis, I looked for the visit notes in the patient portal. The visit notes were not posted to the portal for two weeks after my appointment. When they finally posted, the notes say that I DID have a fracture even though the doctor said I did not. I am very confused and frustrated about the delayed notes and inconsistent diagnosis.

I was always tired and irritable; I found it hard to focus; getting out of bed was always a chore; I was lagging behind in my grad school work. I had tried everything I could think of to cure the insomnia: sleeping medication, cognitive behavioral therapy, a rigorous exercise routine, eating healthier, etc. None of it worked. I felt hopeless. I figured I would live with it the rest of my life. I was hesitant to try acupuncture. Like many people, I figured it was a sham at worst, and a placebo at best. When I walked in for my first treatment, Dr. Womack seemed to know what the issue was even before I had told him (which, at the time, only added to my incredulity). However, the results were instantaneous. That very day I felt as if something had changed inside of me (for the better), and that night I slept more than I had in years. I've been seeing Dr. Womack for almost 2 years now. I sleep so well that I hardly even think about it. My girlfriend even jokes "you can sleep through anything!" Acupuncture has contributed more to my health and well being than anything I can think of. And of all the acupuncturists I've seen (about 4), Dr. Womack is without a doubt the best. All that being said, it is a bit pricey. And offering student discounts wouldn't be unreasonable.
