Hi! For years I have struggled with neck and shoulder pain which seemingly led to terrible headaches. I've tried massage, various pain killers, migraine prescriptions, exercise and acupuncture - nothing seemed to work for a long term solution. This guy saved my life. I don't mean to overstate it but it's kinda true. Dr Austin is a calm and professional bodyworker. I have learned to lean toward his industry for some time now, even in matters beyond the spine. He adjusted my hiatal hernia injury (a GI problem) which had been causing extreme acid reflux at night, making it impossible for me to sleep. Western medicine told me to take some prilosec and have a nice day. After a few months of this, I was losing my mind. (The only other option was a pretty barbaric surgery called the Nissen fundoplication - look it up - which would have only made things worse for my body type.) Dr Austin brought me in and worked on me every other day for a couple of weeks, and I noticed the improvement. My only regret is that I didn't go see him sooner. When I first went to see Dr. Davis, I felt like I was out of options. I had had this pain in my hip for a few years and absolutely nothing had helped - acupuncture, yoga, physical therapy and, of course, cortisone shots, which only mask the pain. A massage therapist told me my hips looked out of alignment (something no other practitioner had told me) and I might try a chiropractor. Mind blown - I thought they just treated back problems. The first time I saw Dr. A he diagnosed it immediately - body waaay out of alignment - and took xrays so that I could actually see it for myself. Over the course of a few weeks I started to feel better with just minor twice-a-week adjustments. Seriously, it was shocking that something I thought was going to be chronic was, basically, going away. It's been 5+ years now and I still feel great - I do get minor adjustments from time to time but kind of as needed. I have been looking for a chiropractor for a long time. Because of some past injuries I need to be very careful about who provides care. I've been suffering from migraines for a long time, and all kinds of other issues. Dr. Austin Davis is an absolute master at his craft. From start to finish I was very impressed with my experience. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Life Chiropractic. I'd been dealing with pretty severe lower back pain for years.
