So you feel like some fancy itallian do you? Well you picked the right place.... Beppi's prides itself on being excellent Itallian food - and it is - if you're willing to pay the price.... Beppis is a tiny little restaurant off from Stanley Street. It's the kind of place you would need to know about in order to find it. As soon as you walk in you know you're somewhere fancy - it just has that vibe (or maybe it was the valet service at the front that gave it away) There is a wonderful atmosphere inside - and on any given night the place is PACKED. I suggest you book early for a special occasion. The food is wonderful but it comes at a price - literally. This place really is expensive.... So start off can I recommend the Funghi di Campo Portobello Marinati in Varie Erbe Miste - Baked portobello field mushroom marinated and baked with mixed herbs ($28) - that's right you're paying $28 for mushrooms or Fiori di Zucchine Ripieni con Ricotta e Funghi Porcini Home grown Zucchini flowers with ricotta, basil and Porcini Mushroom filling ($32) - yes ladies and gentleman - thats your starters.... In fairness, the food is delicious - but it really really expensive... Now for mains go for - Barramundi Selvatico alla Griglia con Pate d'Olive - Wild Barramundi fillet grilled and served with olive pate and lemon ($41) - which is simply scrumptious but will leave you still a bit hungry - so make sure you can also afford sides ($9) It is a wonderful place to eat, but it really does cater for the upper class.... if you are saving for that once in a lifetime meal - I think Sydney does have better on offier....

Very old school italian place from the 1950s. I arrived around 930pm while they were getting ready to close up and almost empty. But they were still nice to let me in, so i didnt want to trouble them and order mains. Just got two pastas. They were both good, but nothing exceptional. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes next time and arrive earlier. The service and waiters were still awesome even though i came so late and was the last person in the restaurant.

Sign out front, you can easily miss this place.

This place is perfect. Only reason it didn't get the 5 stars is the price. Can't fault it though. Great food and great service

Overpriced for what you get and service was only so-so. I wouldn't recommend returning.

    Review Highlights - Beppi's Restaurant

This place is incredible - when we walked in the place looked empty, but that was because everyone was seated back in the wine cellar!

My friends took me here on my last day in Sydney, and it was the perfect farewell brunch!…read more There was a festive menu at the time that we dined, and it was great! 3 courses for $40AUD (or 2 courses for $35AUD), you know I had to get the 3 courses! For Starters, I got the Ora King Smoked Salmon Pate. For my Mains, I got Primavera Ravioli. For dessert, I got the Jamie's Black Forest Panna Cotta. Everything was soooo good! The ambiance was chic & cute, and the server was great! I honestly felt like I was back in the US for some reason!

My second and most recent visit helped extinguish that memory. Our waitress was very lively and sweet. She gave us plenty of time to look over our menus and made solid recommendations. I ordered the Spaghetti Alla Norma and it was pretty tasty. I also sampled some of the polenta chips which were surprisingly good. We opted to get dessert elsewhere but overall the food was pretty good. I'd like this place more if the prices were a little lower and they had more basic pastas available. I'm not a fan of seafood or mushrooms and can't handle spicy so I felt a little limited...although the pumpkin ravioli was tempting. Next time!

Fratelli Parlamento…read more What's available? Antipasto. Pasta. Pizza. Salads. Wine. Wine. Wine. Desserts. No specials. Great CBD location. On Macquarie Street next door to the Land & Environment Court and across the road from the NSW Parliament. When you get to the Macquarie Street entrance walk down the stairs. You will be greeted by a friendly maître d and a similar layout to its Italian brother on Bridge Street. There is a bar and restaurant (Café Sopra) which offers delicious meals made with fresh ingredients. No fresh produce available at this Fratelli's. The restaurant was buzzing with suits. Which was to be expected due to its central business location! Loved the green chesterfield style seating and dim lighting. The service was great with our waiter being very attentive even with the a full restaurant. Could not fault our visit. Will be coming back here again and again.

To start we got the zucchini fritters, burrata, and the cold meats plate. All very tasty. Then for mains i got the pork sausage pizza - i thought it was ok, hardly much pork on the pizza. I got to sample a few other pastas such as the lamb raguy and the polenta with mushrooms and gorgonzola - the polenta was very good! Lots of sauce and went really well with the polenta. For wine we tried the fratelli fresh pino grigio and it had more of a sharp after taste. Overall, I thought the food was good, I enjoyed all the entree's and the other mains except mine.
