I took my SL500 in to replace my accessory battery and Daniel ran a check on both, yes Benz has 2 of course, and found that BOTH were bad! But...he saw that they were only a couple of years old and asked if I had receipts so he could replace them under warranty! I found one...he fought to get me both...and he did! My Benz needed a Service B and so after looking at the great reviews, we gave these guys a call. It was a Saturday and they said they could get us in the next day on Sunday. I'm thinking wow this is great that they are able to fit us in on a Sunday! So dedicated! The next day we met at their new shop on Decatur and Hacienda. They were 15 mins late but it was Sunday so I didn't mind. They gave a us a great price for the service compared to the dealership so we had no complaints. The car was done within a couple hours and off we went. Now you're probably wondering then what's with the one star rating, huh? So here is the bad part. About 2-3 weeks after the service was done, one day I was pulling out of the garage, and got out to run back into the house to grab something and realized I had all of these spots of oil on my garage floor where the front of my car was that I never had before. I was like uh oh something must not have been tightened from the service. I immediately took a picture and texted it over to them. Someone responded back that they remembered me and that they could have someone look at it the next week (since it was Saturday) and they would let me know the time. They even said they could possibly send someone to my house to look at it. That was fine with me. A couple days go by and nothing. I texted back and they said someone called out so they didn't have anyone that day, perhaps I can come by the shop another day. I couldn't do it during the week so we agreed for an early morning Saturday appt. On Saturday morning I received another text stating that no one could meet me because the tech called out sick. Asked if I could meet Monday morning and they could even drop me off at work if I needed a ride. I agreed of course. Monday morning I received another text stating that no one could be there to meet me and if we could meet the next day instead, stating something about having a migraine... At this point of course I'm beyond pissed. I texted back that I could do it but to please have someone at the shop. They texted back agreeing to meet. The next day I got to the shop and no one was there. I texted and they texted back that the tech that was supposed to be there already was 30 mins away. How could this be! So I left because there was absolutely no way I could wait another 30 mins. This place is beyond unprofessional. Obviously they do sloppy work, but to not follow through to fix a messy job that they did and miss appointments one after another. How are they even in business???? I expect to be treated this way if I was getting a quick 10 minute oil change but to charge several hundred dollars and you have oil leaks is just utterly ridiculous. Please don't waste your time at this place. You are better off going to the dealership. They may charge you an arm and a leg but at least you'll have peace of mind that the service was done right. read more

Kevin was my service guy when he worked for the dealer. I found out he left and started this place. I founds him to be honest and upfront even when he worked at the dealer and didn't to be. There were times when the service writer thought I had one issue (which would have been really expensive) Kevin took a ride with me in the car and saved me a ton of money with an inexpensive repair. Honest car repair guys are hard to find. Kevin is one of the few and he has me as a loyal customer. (Hopefully not a frequent customer) read more

The guys are nice enough but they don't deliver. Kevin takes on the work even though he's swamped and then complains about it. I'm not sure if it's passive aggressive or downright incompetence (carpenter blaming his tools). They make promises to repair then they can't get it exactly right. This place is awesome. I'm not from this state which the shop is in. Most mechanics try to charge a ton. Not this place, Kevin helped me out. Brought my car in for an o2 sensor variable valve timing and to fix my steering wheel locking mechanism. Most places would charge a leg and arm to fix this but benztek took great care of me. They showed me exactly which parts were broken. How much they cost straight from dealer and offered an amazing labor cost to fix it all. Let's just say I save more than half of what it would have cost me to take it to the dealership or any other shop. Kevin has +10 years experience as a mechanic for Mercedes Benz. I will note that the address for his shop listed here is not correct, they just moved to a newer larger location which is at 5790 Wynn Rd. I first want to say that I signed up to Yelp just to make this review... I had some rattling noise coming from my engine on a CLK 350, and was pretty much prepared to take out a second mortgage on the home to cover what I figured was going to be another expensive bill. I thought it was urgent, so I just stopped by Benztek without an appointment. Within 15 minutes they had my car in one of the service bays and Kevin had diagnosed the problem as a blown pulley. Instead of the $1k+ bill I was expecting, it turned out to be a $60 part. On top of that, they located the part in town, picked it up, and had it installed all within ~1 hour from the time I stopped by. Really impressive work. Amazing personalized service, and Kevin answered a bunch of other questions I had about A & B service schedules, and a few other questions I had about the car. Can't recommend these guys enough.
