First of 2 issues (second issue still has about 15 minutes to make things right). Here is a copy of an email I just sent to Bents RV, issue contained herein. This isn't the first time that calls have gone unreturned, it just seems to be becoming more of an epidemic with these people lately - funny, they were all to anxious to accept our RV-buying business when we had the checkbook out. Not so much anymore. I'll update fellow Yelpers as to how and when this issue gets resolved.
Robby-
As you may recall, since it was just this morning, I talked to you regarding Bents RV's process for consigning an RV. I also reminded you at that time that my Husband had called you twice last week and left messages for a return call, to no avail. At the end of our phone call this morning, you made a commitment to call me back by this afternoon with the book value of the fifth wheel that I am considering consigning. Surprise - no call back!
I called the store at 4:20 pm and was informed that you were not on site for the remainder of the day. Therefore, presumably, you will not be returning (another) phone call unless you had planned to go above and beyond the call of duty by calling me after hours. That seems a little far-fetched at this point.
I would appreciate a response to this email.
Best Regards,
Later that same night - Robby graciously called back saying their new store opening was taking up a lot of his time, adn he was out of town the previosu week, and..... Issue #1 worked out.
Issue #2 however, continues. Service Manager cannot seem to find the mailbox to mail a piece of stick-on border that he promised to mail last, uh, October. I gently reminded him about this on Monday and he said, oh, its here in my desk, I'll mail it...but as it is now Friday, that darned mail service must not be able to find my house. I hate when that happens. This guy also failed to call me back, like he said he would, on Monday. When he email me back on Tuesday (in response to an email I sent him), he explained, in ALL CAPS, how rather than call me back when he said he would, he decided to wait on me to send him an unrelated email... Right. I responded it his email, in ALL CAPS, to send the border in the mail ASAP without coming up with further unrelated reasons for delay.
Bottom line - these people do not appear to hold existing customer service in high regard; as a future customer, they were all over it. So, beware future Bent's customers, I fear dissapointment may be in store.
Checking in: 2 weeks later, no border in the mail. Can't say I was expecting anything else, but still disappointing. I'll visit today, unannounced, in person, to pick up the border. Let's see what excuse they come up with to not have it available. My money is on: "oh, I mailed that 3 weeks ago", or "I can't seem to find it right now, I'll mail it to you when I do", or "my dog ate it"' or..... read more
