Upon entering my family was greeted by two men, one offered to take the food trays we brought to the kitchen, the other directed us to the registry and room with family and guests. Later I walked out to use the bathroom and the gentleman walked up to me and asked "would you like to attach your name to the (glass) food dishes or drop a note in the card box"? He said, most do so the family knows who brought it. I wasn't concerned about the return of glass dish but had not thought about it at all. Very professional, I thought! Being close to the young man that passed we stayed longer than expected. It was over at 7PM and we noticed it was 7:30 when we were greeted by the kind men as we left. The next day at the funeral service the staff was on top of everything. They were organized to perfection, impressive and professional. On both occasions, they were exceptional. Steve and Ken handled my father's cremation and all of the arrangements surrounding his interment at Georgia National Cemetery. They coordinated everything for us, including scheduling the United States Marine Corps honors for my father, who had proudly served as a Marine. At a time when our family had more than enough to deal with, having people we could trust to quietly take care of all those details meant more than I can adequately express. Just as importantly, Steve and Ken treated my mother and our entire family with tremendous kindness, patience and sensitivity throughout the process. Nothing ever felt rushed, impersonal or simply like a business transaction. We felt genuinely cared for. We had experienced that same level of compassion and professionalism when Clark handled my uncle's cremation earlier this year, so when my father passed away, we already knew we were in good hands. No family looks forward to needing a funeral home, but when that time comes, having people who are competent, compassionate and trustworthy makes an enormous difference. Cost: The Johnsons did not take advantage of the situation through price gouging. Instead, they provided excellent service within the restraint of the budget. They offered for free many options that are grossly overpriced at other businesses visited. They provide free streaming of the service via two media platforms for those who could not attend. Overall, I saved over $7000 compared to the other funeral home I visited. Professionals: The Johnsons are the epitome of professionalism and compassion. They listened to me every step of the way; they took care to make my mother beautiful, adding little touches that I had not thought about. With their guidance, my mom received a beautiful spiritual homegoing. Facility: The location of the business provided plenty of parking for over 100 guests. The building is very welcoming without the usual funeral home feel. There is a chapel above the business office. The chapel consists of an open area that is very intimate, with three small rooms with glass windows looking to the open bay. An excellent feature that allowed parents to attend without worrying about their children disturbing the service. Also on the premises is a detached structure (Venue) that can be rented out for a reasonable fee to conduct a repass/reception after the processions. I highly recommend this business.

At the 7th day I was given excuses on why the remains were not ready and the total time to get remains was 12 business days. It seems at this location, they have a book of excuses on why there is a delay. I made plans based upon their date of pickup to book a church and set up burial. When I asked to have death certificates overnighted me, I was given an excuse that the USPS would not deliver the next day so they would not mail to me. Their empathy in dealing with their delay was definitely off putting. Maybe one of the other locations are better and more compassionate.

Driving into to the area and parking was easy as well as getting out of there. The funeral service was held elsewhere but this establishment offers the option to have your loved one's service on location. Since I didn't make any arrangements, I do not have any idea about the fees and price options. However, I do highly recommend checking this business out if you face death in the family.
