I explained I'd like him to pick up the boyfriend (in Thousand Oaks), then pick up my daughter (Oak Park), then drive them to dinner in Malibu, returning to Oak Park. We confirmed the hourly rate ($50) & time (3 hours). I advised I prefer to pay the tip in cash to the driver. Imagine my surprise when I received a call at 8:00 pm, after he'd picked them up, to say that he was going to charge me twice as much as agreed. First, he said it was because it was on PCH. I asked how else do you get to a Malibu restaurant? Then he said it was too far (15 mi?). The web site describes coverage from New Bury (sic) Park to Canyon Country but a 40 mi round trip excursion in 3 hrs is 'too far'? Finally, I think we got to the heart of the matter. After I'd booked him, he had the opportunity to pick up a customer at the Burbank Airport @ 9:30 pm & drive the customer to Calabasas, which is where the car is 'garaged'. He said he could make $89 for that, which would only take an hour. He continued to confuse the conversation by talking about what a cab would charge and how he'd been booked for an 8 hr trip but when he showed up, the customer wanted to go to San Francisco. I advised that if he'd run into situations in the past that now caused him to put restriction on how far he would go during a specific timeframe, he needs to advise all the conditions upfront, not after he'd picked up the customer. When he returned to Oak Park, I advised him I was going to record our transaction. He said he did not want to be recorded (why not?). When I took a photo of his license plate, he asked why-I said because I was going to turn him in for 'bait & switch'. My advise to anyone considering this car/limo service is to ask when booking if there are ANY restrictions. Though I would not book them.

She told me the total cost the ride was $95 and asked if I wanted to pay with cash or card. When I said was using my card, she wanted to take a picture of it.
