This was my favorite gallery in Midtown East, and now that they've moved and upgraded to a new location in Chelsea under the High Line, it is now my favorite gallery that has ever existed ever. I do not say this lightly, as many galleries are staffed with ridiculous, pretentious employees who treat me like I'm an alien life form if I ask anything at all, even if it's just directions to the nearest restroom. The staff here are always helpful, approachable and knowledgable about the art they show, particularly gallery directors Rachel and Renee, and it is evident that they maintain intimate relationships with their impressive roster of superstar photographers, many of whom have been with the gallery since it started. The new space is enormous, well-lit and truly a showcase for anyone lucky enough to have a show on its walls. Bravo. Some personal favorites to see works of here include Richard Renaldi and Matthew Pillsbury. Run, don't walk. read more
