Northern Glass (Manchester) caused serious damage to my house by not using the correct structural…read moresupports! They installed two bay windows and did not installed ANY structural supports so all the weight of the front of the house was resting on the uPVC windows. As a result, the bay dropped and was a serious health and safety risk. Northern Glass told me that structural supports were not needed! As I was concerned I contact their Auditors (Certass) who confirmed they had installed the windows incorrectly and caused damage to my house. Northern Glass did eventually put this right, but wanted to charge me for the damage they had caused. I found them very difficult to work with and they attempted to miss lead me on several occasions. I will never use this company again!!! Northern glass took me to court as I refused to pay for putting right the damaged caused by Northern glass. The court ruled against Northern Glass and stated they caused the damage to my property. They ruled against Northern Glass and stated I don't have to pay the additional charges Northern Glass were trying to charge me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! they do not know what they are doing and the staff are rude. The MD Chris Stott will try to bully you to get his own way and is rude and a rogue trader!!

I saw Northern Glass stand in the Millgate shopping centre some senior sales lady was handing out…read moreleaflets, so I enquired to see how much it would cost for a front porch to be built, within 10 minutes of leaving northern glass stand I had a phone call asking me appointment availability so arranged a time and day. The sale man turn up 3 days later. The sales then quoted £2480. I agreed to £240. 80 deposit it was October 2015 . Then two weeks later received email stating a surveyor would come out but they never show up December 2015 Now still today there is no sign of any worked been taking up I contacted Northern Glass and some woman called Amanda answered who claimed to be part of the complaints team on the 14 January 2016. I was then told that my order been cancelled and refund Cheque being sent to me when I ask why the reason she explain that the quote was too low not profitable for them which I felt was a bit with weird. So I said I would be taking the matter further. I really annoyed and I will fight for my right, how ever having done research on this company I'm glad they did cancel because the reviews are shocking. Then I received email from Karen Chorlton stating I would not be getting a refund due to I didn't cancel the order in the cooling of period, when I tried to contact them again as soon I said my name the phone would be put down, how I did threaten them with court and got a solicitor friend of mine to right to them and a refund cheque was issued but I wont be ever recommending them to anyone.
