When I stepped inside I was delighted with the surplus of gorgeous foods and snacks from all over the world. Chocolates, candies, savory snacks, frozen foods, pastry cases that are yards long, a deli case to make others jealous, a chicken wing selection for every fans tastebud, an olive bar boasting 20 varieties, and so much more I didn't even discover. Their fresh foods were some of the prettiest I've seen and the pastry case was one I could have gazed at all day. In the end I left with one of their famous giant cookies and it was delicious. Prices seemed quite reasonable for the quality of the food and the area, and the staff were so nice! I wish I lived closer so that I could enjoy this place on the regular; guess I'll just have to come back soon.

I mean my pocket book is probably better for it because I want to buy the whole store but honestly I've been missing out. The place is cute and welcoming from the corner sign on the building to the moment you step in- bright, inviting, great displays so you know where to go. You can't get lost in here with the signage, but you can't definitely get lost in the aisles with all the great, unique choices. The ready food display has so many Mediterranean treats, some I've had before some I've never heard of and everything I tried was amazing. We got the cabbage rolls and Armenian veggie dolmas. Great flavor, both specific items I haven't had before. Nice citrus, spiced flavor to these. I'd say they're have to try items. Not only found jarred tomato paste, which I've been on the hunt for but they had choices in this category and that's another first for me. Will have to go back and try the others. Also got the cured Serrano ham -amazing. And I thought the prices were going to be insane having a spot right in the middle of the city and nope- pleasantly surprised for my goodies, great prices even less than some of the other stores I frequent in the suburbs. I'll be back again and again and again until I try the whole store lol. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it

The online ordering and payment process was easy, and communication with Lindsey via email and phone was timely and efficient. Delivery was right on time, and the setup and presentation were perfect for our small event. We received several compliments on how fresh and delicious the charcuterie board, vegetables, and fruit were. We would definitely recommend Uptown Catering and will keep them in mind for any future events we host in Houston!

I just catered breakfast for a family event with 20 people and spend $442 (including tip/delivery)…read more The food was mediocre and the portions were so small. I ordered "The Convention" breakfast which was "Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuits" - it came with literally 20 tiny sausage patties and biscuits total. So one tiny sausage and biscuit per person. I didn't count the bacon but it was a similarly stingy portion. No one had more than two pieces. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were actually good. But overall, it was so embarrassing to have the food show up and it be these tiny trays of hardly any food for over $400. I would have been better off ordering individual dishes for each person from a local restaurant. I thought with the high Yelp and Google reviews I saw, this would be a safe bet! I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?

I came here, because pre-pandemic shut downs and partial closings one of my bosses gave me various…read moresample sizes from this restaurant during "National Appreciation Job Title" day. I loved the food and munched on it like a starving kitten. Pandemic hits and it severely limits my ability to go to places, but I still had the old flyer. I called the order in ahead and ordered a shrimp poboy for myself, a fish one for my husband and a chicken pasta for my mother. First things first, as its technically a catering company and due to restrictions with dine in service in Fort Bend County, I don't know if the inside will ever be meant for dining service. It seems it's meant mostly for pick up, but on the other hand restaurants are operating differently with the pandemic, so I can't say for sure. Now the food. Portions are huge. Our poboys were large enough that we split them to taste the other person's meal. I felt they were some of the best poboys, I've had. Probably the only better ones are the ones from New Orleans and that's high praise as it's New Orleans influenced dining. If you want to know, I think the fried fish poboy slightly edged out the shrimp poboy. I felt the taste of the shrimp at times got lost, whereas the fish poboy and all of the other components were balanced. However, it's such a slight difference in terms of taste, that you're not losing out if you're eating the shrimp poboy. But if you are eating with someone and they don't mind sharing, I do recommend swapping half your poboy. For my mother's meal, as a picky old lady, she was content, and that's rare. It was a lot of food, it came with vegetables and corn bread. She ate it and didn't complain. To me that's high praise. The only real "knock" as that while the bread pudding is good, I know you can get better bread pudding elsewhere. Also, as it seems to be a start up business, drink options are also limited. However, I think with time there will be more drink options/ As for the bread pudding, people are either going to agree with me or not. It's still good, but I don't think that's the highlight of this caterer/restaurant. The main dishes are what makes this place unique and I'd come here for those dishes or consider this place for events like weddings and bigger parties. The food is good enough to make everyone happy and if it's for a wedding or birthday party it's not like you'll need their dessert as wedding/birthday cakes tend to be ordered at bakeries. Definitely try it, and send me a note if you agree.

What a fantastic experience!…read more My little sister wanted to throw a cooking party for her 30th birthday; Chef B came highly recommended. All 16 of us gathered at my sister's in Willis late afternoon for a toast and to hang out before the anticipated start time of 5pm. Chef B and Jackie arrived a little after 4 and seamlessly began preparing while guests mingled. (I'm not even certain when they arrived since they just blended in.) They brought an app for us to snack on: baby lobster rolls, mmm. When it was go time, Chef B and Jackie allowed us to pair up at multiple different "stations" around the kitchen/dining area. The guys crowded around the meat table to form "Team Meat" and the rest of us paired up at the various stations where we were walked through each step of preparation. My older sister and I were at the prosciutto-wrapped green bean station, arguably the most "difficult" one. Really, all we had to do was grab a small handful of green beans and wrap them - along with some grilled scallions - with a piece of prosciutto. However, since we'd had open season on Prosecco and sangria for over an hour, this was harder for her than I thought, ha. But it sure was fun! Very social. Food prep at all the stations took half hour tops (half that time at most). The meat had already been brined, herbs chopped, etc. so assembly was simple. Other than the food (I'll get to that) my favorite part was realizing how easy it all was. We got a little booklet at the end with all the recipes; there were very few ingredients and none were complicated. The Chefs managed the majority of the cooking (or supervised the parts we wanted to do, i.e. the guys at the grill) About an hour or so later we were presented with a smorgasboard: bruchetta salad, cremini mushrooms, bourbon bacon pork tenderloin, roasted root veggies, butternut squash with honey, our green beans...I can't even remember it all. But every, single. thing. tasted great! Everyone was so proud of the dish they took part in, it was cute. The best part: the chefs cleaned everything up afterwards! All my sister provided was a kitchen and some dishes to eat off of, everything else was covered, start to finish. All of this for $45 a person. Absolutely unreal. Could not possible recommend more. I'm hoping I can get Chef B and Jackie to come to Austin!!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see her in action, first-hand...until now and WOW! Our school was having a food truck themed summer camp, which is a very popular camp that sells out every year. The kids create their own food trucks, starting with learning the behind the scenes of starting a food truck, such as logo design, menu design, a shopping list and then they build their own truck and cook some samplers from their menus. We have real food trucks come out for the kids to see, but this year was even better because Chef Shelby came into our culinary kitchen and gave our students and teachers an experience that they will never forget. From the start, she was very communicative and full of ideas on how she could create this experience for the kids. We provided the space and she and her team took it from there and made the rest of the magic happen. She gave a lesson to the kids about kitchen safety and how to create a menu to kick off Food Truck Camp. Then, she came back later in the week and made flat bread pizzas from scratch by modeling each step and assisting the kids as they made their own. She and her team were punctual, organized and very professional! The teachers and kids had a blast! Let's not forget to mention that she still made this experience possible even with dealing with the after effects of Hurricane Beryl! Reservation was for 3 hours with 1 hour for set up and 30 mins for breakdown. They allow outside food as long as it's dessert. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, shoutout to Adam for coordinating with us - helped us out in so many ways, from decor setup, to playing our music, to splitting bills, to accommodating for various dietary restrictions of guests, to cutting our outside cake we brought in, to assisting with cleanup and giving our guests to-go boxes for all the leftovers. Speaking of food, guests couldn't stop raving about it. Spring rolls were packed with shrimp (they offered various sauces for those with peanut allergies), the DIY banh mi tray was a major hit, and my personal favorite was the crispy pork belly, the skin was crispy perfection. We also got egg rolls, wings (fish sauce), and japchae which were all excellent as well. Can't recommend Lena's Asian Kitchen enough, great work y'all and thank you for having us!
