Market on Main is an adorable boutique that showcases dozens of local artisans and their wares. From apparel, to greeting cards, to seasonal holiday gifts, to WV souvenirs, to wall art, to jewelry, to decorative pieces, to unique gifts, to even a small area of locally produced groceries, this shop has a lot to offer. My teen daughter and I had a splendid time perusing all of the high quality items. Had I won the Mega-Millions the night before, I would have cleaned them out! But alas we had to keep it more reasonable. Both my daughter and I purchased a few sweet and funny greeting cards designed by a local artist, as we both New-Year's-resolved to mail more hand-written notes to friends and family. I also purchased a lovely handmade ornament with a Tarot card design. We each spent under $30 and walked out with a few nice gifts. We didn't have time to go upstairs, but apparently there are two additional vendors on the second floor, a record shop, and another boutique. The building it is all housed in seems like a historic repurposed house or maybe a church, which I also loved. Such a great way to get a second life out of a still solid structure! Market on Main is right across the street from Almost Heaven Bakery, and close to a few public parking lots nearby. So grab a free spot, shop at Market on Main, and cap it off with a sweet treat at AHB, a truly lovely way to spend an afternoon in quaint Bridgeport.

They carry Specialized and Jamis along with a few other lines. There are regular 5:30 Tues night rides from the shop, usually on the local Mt Bike trail system on the edge of town... 7+ miles of prime trials.

Stopped in because I just wanted a small piece of advice on a disc brake problem as a newbie…read more Walked in and the person working seemed already unhappy I was there while he was sitting on a stool stacking packets of coffee with no one else in the shop. Told him I just bought a bike and was hoping he could take a quick look at the disc brake caliper and give me any advice. He said no, he didn't have time. I explained I wanted to fix it myself if he would just take a glance at the piston to see if it was safe to push back in and he acted like it was the biggest pain in his ass so I promptly left, won't be back, and don't advise your doing so either. Too bad because I was looking to buy a bleed kit, gloves, and small bike bag. I'll just take it to another LBS that has community and return customers in mind. Edit: FYI, I called Speed Vision Bikes about 20min away because I didn't want to drive all the way there and be turned away by a "too cool" shop. The person that answered was incredibly nice, asked me what I was coming for, gave me advice over the phone and I didn't even make need to make the drive. So I can't speak for going into the shop itself, but as far as I'm concerned they're five stars. That's how you be a great LBS. Thanks!

I also was able to find a 7 speed 20" bike for my son who is growing like a weed. They are very customer focused, there is never a traditional sales pitch, it's all about what YOU need out of your bike. Several models of TREK bikes are in stock; road, mountain, and cruiser (e-bikes too!). Anything he doesn't have will be delivered in a couple days; I've been able to purchase multiple Yakima bike racks as well as other odds and ends. Service has also been great, with quick turn around times. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

He gave me a set price and appointment to get it installed. He was very curtious and informative. After it was done he helped me with my remote and made sure it worked and showed me how to use it. He even helped me down the steps and cross the street to my car. A big plus was they vacuumed my drivers side floor, which I am unable to do any longer. i recommend this place to everyone. I did not want to replace the stock stereo and make significant alterations to my new truck. I checked around a few of the Car Audio places and did not find what I was looking for at those places until I found AVC. AVC listened to what I wanted and made it happen, the 3 things they did that others did not was, one listen to what I wanted and not try and sell me what they wanted me to have such as a new radio to replace the stock radio. (And yes I understand that an aftermarket head unit would sound better but the goal was not to change the new interior and still improve the sound) 2. after learning what I wanted they devised a plan in my opinion this is the key piece when working on someone's brand new high dollar purchase. 3. With the exception of better sound you can't even tell they worked on my truck! Exactly what you want when you have just made your first payment. Results delivered as promised with the customer's needs in mind and a PLAN If that is your goal than this is your place.

So my washer finally gave up even after all the voodoo and blood sacrifices ive put into it she disappointed me. So I jumped in my lambo-feeties and headed up the street to SPEEDWAY APPLIANCE FAIRMONT. Now I called them a month or so ago asking about a washer and what is involved with getting one but mine started acting right so I thought well let me ride this out. But alas I was a FOOL. Now here the best part. I walked in and spoke with the man there I believe he was the owner and I forgot to ask his name which hindsight was rude of me. Anyway he showed me an older model for 275$ HE without that thing in the middle I was like ok I'll take it knowing damn well I only had 300 to spend and I shared that with the man and prayed he would come down a little bit on the price. To my absolute amazement this kind man not only cut me the best deal I have ever gotten on an appliance he did so with kindness and respect. Like my dude you are my hero . And I 1000% recommend going there to see for yourself the treatment you get it's incomparable to big box stores and friendlier than Amazon always shop and eat small give your time and business to your neighbors not a stranger. Looking at the selection of items in the store they are all newer and more sophisticated than you might think with flat top stoves and stainless steel refrigerators that have the double door design. Can't hurt just to walk in and say hi right? You may find yourself a new "only place I go" I know I did. Again thank you to the man at SPEEDWAY APPLIANCE FAIRMONT, you truly gave me a blessing today.
