I had a very unpleasant experience working with Todd Wise on my case…read more Throughout my case, he repeatedly advised me that it was in my best interest to allow my former husband to fall behind on his court-ordered payments for over a year and to wait to address the issue during settlement. As mediation approached, he continued telling me to wait longer, avoid applying pressure, and postpone making decisions. However, once the deadline arrived and the judge was about to make a decision, he suddenly scheduled mediation and completely changed his position. At that point, he told me there was no more time and pressured me to accept a settlement in which I would receive only about one-third of what my former husband owed me. He also encouraged me to agree to terms that, given the circumstances of my divorce, would have been extremely harmful to my children and failed to protect their best interests. I refused to accept that advice and hired a different legal team. They negotiated a settlement that was far more favorable, ensured that my children's interests were protected, and achieved an outcome that was significantly better than what Todd had urged me to accept. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend his representation.

When I followed up to ensure he received my messages, he appeared to have an attitude, as if I had done something wrong by checking in. This was very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. If he was unsure about taking the case, that should have been communicated upfront rather than after I invested significant effort preparing everything he asked for.
