It never felt staged or uncomfortable -- it honestly didn't feel like a "photo shoot" at all. That meant so much to me because I'm usually very uncomfortable in front of the camera. Somehow, he created an atmosphere where I felt completely at ease, and that makes all the difference. The editing after seeing the proofs (which seemed daunting to me) came out so well that my niece will be using hers as her graduation picture. When I made the mistake (3 times in a row) of responding to the Dropbox email, I called Den and talked about it. He was understanding and once I sent the chosen pictures to be edited they were done much faster than I thought. Again I had issues with opening the retouched ones (user error was showing hard here), I sent an email to him and he again sent me the file which turned out beautiful

I had to increase the chair order about a week before my wedding -- No Problem! It was worked out with a five minute phone call. Additionally, David arrived before the time I had asked him to and was already midway through setting up before I even arrived! Considering the location and the fact that the traffic into the city that day was awful, I was beyond impressed. Hiring him was one of the easiest parts of my wedding and the best decision I made as he literally made it stress-free. She met with us twice before the wedding- once at a coffee shop to go over a list of poses and photos that we wanted to be taken and again at our venue to get a feel for the day. As far as costs, Deirdre had the most reasonable prices for wedding packages that we could find. On the day of our wedding her and her husband/business partner David took great care to be sure that we got every photo that we could possibly want (which was a bonus because we only paid for one photographer and ended up getting two!). And they were so much fun! My father-in-law said he "fell in love with the photographer". When we received the proofs after our wedding we were blown away- every single photo was so gorgeous and she truly captured every beautiful moment of our special day. She even gave us a GREAT deal when it came to purchasing the photos. I have to say that Deirdre is a truly amazing photographer and artist and very skilled at her job, but the best part about her was her personality- she and her husband were so kind and caring and so much fun to talk to and work with. We would love to say that working with Studio Nine Photography was a pleasant delight but…read moreunfortunately their lack of professionalism is quite appalling and it honestly ruined our experience. While the quality of photos taken were nice, we regret trusting this studio with our wedding photos. Our first complaint is with our photographer, leading up to the wedding we were very open about specific photos we would have liked to be taken with family members. We shared a small list of the photos we would have liked, we didn't even receive half of these images. The words "Millitant" and "Drill Sergeant" were the kinder terms used to describe our photographer during the day of our wedding. Guests were yelled at, chairs were thrown, and while we hoped this was a process for getting the best images on our memorable day, yelling at elderly guests that they need to walk faster or they will not be in any photos is incredibly rude. Because of this behavior we were unable to have many photos with grandparents or elderly family members on our wedding day. After the wedding, our photographer posted a photo on her social media site to scorn our family members for having phones out during the ceremony. These were very clear images, it was easy to identify our guests, and it is completely unprofessional to shame wedding guests especially since our wedding was not "unplugged" nor did any members of the Studio Nine Photography group speak with us previously about phone usage. The first photos shared by members of this company for our wedding were shaming our guests. When we finally received our wedding photos, many images were lacking the creativity that was shown to us when we interviewed Studio Nine. We were shown super imposed images and told that the photographer would bring their own lighting to add to the creativity of our day, none of the images we received had these effects. It was unfortunate. Of course we reached out to Studio Nine to identify these issues and their response was what really turned us off with our experience. We were told that the reason some creativity was lacking in the photos was due to no communication on their part and a lack of time. Being the bride and groom, we were able to set up the timing of the wedding and could have pushed our cocktail time over to get the photos we wanted or the time the photographer needed. Studio Nine never communicated with anything about what they needed, they only told us that they would be able to create these photos. Studio Nine also agreed with us that our photographer behaved unprofessionally, but there was nothing they could do about it and could only consider it for future clients. So I am sharing with all potential future clients. My husband and I would not recommend working with a company who is lacking in effective communication, who's photographers feel entitled to subject your guests to online embarrassment, and who, after the fact, say there's nothing more they can do for you because they need to worry about future clientele instead of current clients. We regret considering this company an honest and professional organization. Huge place with space for about 150 guest (maybe more). The food was better than ok, but not exceptional. The staff was really good. And seem to really work together. Kept things flowing nicely. So many ways you can set up the floor to meet your needs. Huge space that you can use for all occasions. The room temperature was perfect. Not chilly and not too warm. I was really surprised I was the first to rate this place.

She was nitpicking at every little thing we did as far as set up and making really offensive remarks . She was irritated at something . It's one of those things that's hard to explain and understand, like why is she being so rude ?????? Even at the end of the night , it was like GET OUT . The man she had with her did ask how our night went but she did not. As far as I know , it's her venue so I hold her to a high regard. The person who we gave the party for was a stroke victim , who was still in recovery and we just wanted to celebrate her still being here with us for her 60th . Plus It had stormed so bad before our event that it set us back. We had a large amount of ppl coming to us from Philly, Delaware , NY and even Raleigh NC. So our event started at 5 but honestly ppl didn't get there until 6/630 cause it rained so bad. The owner was back at 10pm sharp and walking around huffing and puffing and making smart comments about what she wouldn't do and would do if this was her party. She made us feel very uncomfortable. Not welcoming at all. There was a moment while cleaning up that my sister in law was about to snap on her for being so rude . Honestly I would never recommend, refer or use this event space ever again. I was one of the ones shouting for ppl to go here . I own two very popular businesses in the same area , so I am in contact with so many ppl on a daily basis. I pride myself on love , customer service and professionalism. In the last 5 years Of being in business I would never make my customers feel so uncomfortable and unappreciated. We paid our money to be there . We went over and beyond to make this happen for the person we wanted to celebrate. And to have such a nasty demeanor was disgusting. The venue is nice , but there are other venues in the same area where we have had events at , with better aesthetics and was treated with so much more respect. She should humble herself a bit. I just really wanted to support this venue cause of how I felt before when I met her . Ppl show their true colors eventually.
