A big part of the reason why is the staff. They were so warm and welcoming when I arrived. I got one of the sandwiches on focaccia bread which came with a side salad. I don't know how many times I have passed this place, and didn't even realise it was there. It is a tiny little space packed full of imported Italian delicacies. They have everything from fresh Italian meats, cheeses, pasta, bread, olive oil, wine, etc. You can even bring in your own container and fill it up with fresh olive oil from the big metal keg at the front of the store. This is not just a shop, you can also order fresh paninis and sandwiches. I think they also have hand made pizza that you can take away to cook at home, not sure if they cook them there or not. For only 7 CHF I purchased a panini. Everything is freshly sliced there by hand - from the bread, to the meats and cheese. It is one of the best paninis I have had. The spicy chorizo sausage they used gives it a bit of a kick. It also had yummy tomato and aubergine on it. I can see why this place gets a long line at lunch time from everyone coming to get the yummy sandwiches. Unfortunately, everything is for takeaway, there is no room to sit here. The place does take credit card as I saw someone else using it. They had some fresh baked olive bread that I really wanted, but will need to come back to get when I go to fill up on some olive oil.
