A cheap meal out, but beware!
We booked a table to take my parents out, were told on the phone the booking was ok, see us at 7pm the following day.
When we got there, we were told to wait and we would be called in "a couple of minutes". The group in front of us in the queue said they dont think the restaurant actually writes down bookings, they just pretend to to get your business, and this was how it seemed to us. There was no empty table that we could see with a reserved sign on it, and the group in front of us got seated before us even though they hadnt booked and we had. After standing waiting for 20 minutes we were very fed up. We tried to ask if there was a problem with our booking but they waiter wouldnt even look us in the eye and no apology or explanation was offered as to what the problem was, he just kept repeating that we would be called. We eventually had had enough, and left to find another restaurant. We will not return. When we have booked a table in a restaurant we dont expect to be left standing there for 20 minutes with no apology or reason given! Very, very poor standard of service.
This place used to be ok for us when we didnt want to cook - cheap, basic but tasty food. However we will not be going back there after being treated like this. Shows what they think of their customers to treat people like this, and I can only hope I dont have the misfortune to experience this kind of dreadful customer service again. read more
