Excellent stock of spices held here. There is another store down the raod, which is good but mainly for Mediterranean stock. This is the place for Asian/Eastern foodstuffs. This is one of the worst shops I have ever been to based on pricing, a total rip-off when it comes to meat. Have been there several times and have found that there prices change from week to week for simple items, look out for the owner adding additional cost to items you have not purchased or bumping the price-up on items at the last min. Expect to pay £4.99 for a medium bag of spice which you can get for £1.99 for the shop closer to the station. I know they get there items from London but that does not justify anyone charging you exceptionally high prices. A family run Asian food store with friendly owners and a good selection of foods. The best thing about this place is its Halal butchers, the only one in Worthing! Bengal gets its meat from London every few days so it's always fresh. They don't always have every type of meat in but it doesn't take long for them to have it again and you can phone your order through. They also sell frozen samosas and other Halal snacks. The lamb samosa are excellent quality. They also stock Bangladeshi and Asian fish, African and Middle Eastern foods, Indian sweets and spices and fresh fruit and veg. read more
