I asked woman behind counter could I buy a shotgun. Yes the answer..... But NO FOLLOW up. NO "can I show you one?" They had the shotgun I wanted IN STOCK. $1,600.... SO. I stood there for like 10 minutes trying to get SOMEONE to pay attention NO ONE ASKED ME ONCE IF I NEEDED HELP!! WHile I wanted to help a small business & buy local, I guess I won't. I took my $1,600 (plus tax) and will shop someplace that DOES want my business. Live, fresh or artificial bait and lures are available. There is a hunting section that is smaller than the fishing side but has a good selection of decent gear as well. They carry boating equipment and supplies with the exception of high end electronics. Need a big friggin anchor or a mooring point? They have them, dock ladder? They have them too. Need trailer parts? Yep, got them too. I've been to RW's a couple of dozen times and there are still places in the store I haven't had a chance to see yet. Ah, Dick's. How do I hate thee, let me count the ways…read more Could it be that every time I visit Dick's I almost always leave unhappy and without purchasing something? They rarely have what I need. And even if you are fortunate enough to find an employee, they won't know what they're doing or anything about the specific sports equipment you need. If you need a cheap, Chinese made baseball for your kid's little league, they have you covered. But this is no REI. Or even Cabela's or Bass pro shop. It's the Kmart of sporting goods. I kick myself every time I leave empty handed and vow never again.
