I have used BenefitWallet for DCSA the last two years and have had nothing but trouble from this garbage company. An online form that doesn't work (in the same way both years), then changing the denial reason when I provide the data they request. Phones that don't connect to humans, they just provide an email address... This company is the definition of how not to do business and they do whatever they can to not want to give you your money. It is not worth the headache to save the money by using this company. read more

Terrible customer service. Claims get denied even when you have submitted the proper documentation, then you're not able to speak to the claims department who made the bad decision in the first place. When I tried to resubmit the claim, it again got denied, but for a different reason. This company is horrible! read more

I called them 3 times in 3 days and 1st time I waited for 1 hr without anyone answering my call. The 2nd time i waited 1 & 1/2 hr with out anyone answering my call then the 3rd time I waited 1 hr and 40 mins then I eventually got through. Benefitwallet employees told me only 2 persons were working at that time since it was late in the day. The time I called was 2pm and I didn't think it was late at all. WORST COMPANY, WORST SERVICE LAST IN ALL WHY I HAVE TO PICK A STAR BEFORE I POST MY COMMENT. THEY SHOULD DESERVE NO STAR. read more

This company should be shut down by the government, or at least the management fired and replaced. I have been a captive customer of theirs for a number of years thanks to their being my organization's HSA custodian. Suffice to say the list of screwups I've experienced is lengthy but the current one is absolutely unforgivable. In short, their entire system has been down for over a week. I attempted a withdrawal on Jan 18. Here we are Jan 29 and I am still not seeing my money. No feedback, no ETA. Customers like myself are totally locked out of their accounts. Any company that requires more than 48 hours to recover from a critical incident preventing access to funds has absolutely no business being in business. read more

Dealing with the Spectrum, Edison, So Cal Gas, and MyBenefitWallet rank as the worst. Not to mention that MyBenefitWallet and FSAstore must have some shady affiliate relationship going on. Similar purchases are getting denied when I buy on Amazon but if you sign up and buy from FSAstore with their artificially inflated prices on virtually the same product, they claim it will be a no hassle reimbursement. How is this legal? read more

Three unknown transactions totaling close to $1000 and NO response or answers via website, email, automated telephone system, or customer service. The rudest experience is customer service, or the literal utter lack thereof. If you hold past the pelehtora of phone prompts, it will say, "Connecting to a customer service representative," followed by, "There is no one staffed to take your call at this time." Mind you, this is midday ET on a weekday, and the website specifies customer service telephone hours as 8 am to 8 pm M-F ET. I finally tried snail mail, and all I got was a useless form letter in reply. There seems to be no way to trace my lost funds and no way to hold the parent company, Conduent, accountable. I'd engage my state attorney general, but as Conduent is in PA and I am in NY, expected results are nil. I remember when Xerox spun off, or more like pooped out, Conduent; the name had something to do with being a conduit for customers. What a joke and as big a lie as 'your money is safe with us.' At this point I have to assume I am eating their $1k error, that is, unless I walk into their corporate office and throw a fit big enough to get attention but not so big as to get thrown out. Guess I'll rehearse my fit-throwing act and try not to aim it at the poor receptionist who suffers every day hating her job at this shite company. read more

I've been trying to get my money rolled over into my current hsa for about 5 yrs now, they won't send me a hsa card nor will they give me my money. They have my updated address they still won't release my funds DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL STEAL FROMY OU AND NO ONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WILLING TO HELP. read more

Worst service ever. They have my money, but won't release it to a medical provider. Yet they never told me via email, text or any other forum. When I called, more than a 3 hour wait! read more

3days in a row I have placed a call to their help desk to see what todays excuse was going to be for my ACH deposit, taken out of my account on the 28th and still not deposited on 5/5. What are they doing with the funds? I have been told everyday that the funds will be cleared tomorrow. Terrible customer service and calling me Dir every 3rd word and I'm sorry does not hold up after the third day. read more

Also would be zero stars... I HATE this company & wish my employer would not use them. Every year we've been with them they refuse to pay some legitimate charge, and want me to pay out of pocket. That money on the account IS mine! Use that to pay it! When you call so called "customer service" they are not helpful and cannot resolve any problems. Neither can their "supervisors." HR MANAGERS - DO NOT USE BENEFIT WALLET! Your employees deserve better!! read more

Horrible customer service. Flexible spending card gets suspended by a computer and there is nobody to help reconcile it! I owed $1, paid it back no less than 4 times and STILL no resolution. Card was unsuspended for a day then denied use again. Incredibly frustrating. read more

Horrible business. After 2 notifications, the card becomes temporarily suspended, but medical EOB takes time to show up in mail for us to send in to Benefit Wallet. Will not accept credit card receipts. Useless app, only shows you balance left, and can't be used to load receipts. Why bother with app?! read more

The worst customer service! I received a tax document in the mail from this company with my address and someone else's name - this is a problem. Have been trying to reach customer service for two days now, no success. First of all the customer service options provide no option for speaking to someone. You have to figure that out on your own. Secondly once u figure that out you are placed on forever hold. If u write an email, the response u get to every request is to call customer service so your essentially u r caught in a loop of no help. It's terrible. And the only reason I'm calling is because they screwed up. So annoying. , . read more

The singular worst financial corporation I've ever had an account with. Like other said, charges you $3.25 a month to take your money and behind the scenes, invest it as they see fit and make 10X the charge. Got a new HSA and requested a check to roll it over. THE MOTHERFUCKERS BOUNCED THE CHECK THEY SENT ME!!! Why? Because the account balance went to zero, they didn't close the FUCKING ACCOUNT, and then they charged me the FUCKING $3.25. They then charged me $25 for the BOUNCED CHECK THAT WAS THEIR FUCKING FAULT. I just decided to eat the $25, did an electronic transfer this time, and left $3.50 in the account, which of course, they stole before I could close the account. Messaged them to close the account - no, that's not good enough, you gotta call. Called them, told them to close THE FUCKING ACCOUNT. They went offline for a few minutes, came back and said they COULDN'T CLOSE IT because of some unintelligible (off-shore support site, of course) reason. I told them to "CLOSE THE GODDAMN ACCOUNT NOW" - and miraculously, they did so. Is it really closed? I DON'T GIVE A FUCK, THEY CAN PISS UP A ROPE IF THEY THINK THEY'RE GETTING MORE MONEY FROM ME. Ah, that feels a lot better.... read more

Extremely difficult to get the to properly reimburse IRS eligible HRA expenses. Their claims processors seemly pick random rejection codes for the same claims. Customer service phone tree broken to ensure you can't get to a live agent. read more

This company is astonishly bad. I tried to stop a monthly contribution via the website and could not figure out how to do it. I called customer service and they could not figure it out either! How can that be? It is such a fundamental functionality and it is nowhere to be found on the website (or the mobile app). The customer service rep could not even do it manually when asked and didn't seem to care about the issue anyway. I'm getting out of this HSA as soon as possible. read more

If you have a choice, which I don't, avoid at all costs. They have absolutely no problem with quickly/regularly taking their inflated fees, but can't seem to do anything else in a timely manner. It's now February 1st and they STILL don't have the required tax information available in order to file taxes. How difficult is this???? Every other bank manages to get this out weeks before. If they can't manage this basic, legally required function, you can imagine all else they're failing at. read more

Should be zero star. This company is horrible. No one ever answered the calls. Their mobile app is not easy to access. They only gave me the option to text to a landline number or to call them which no one answers. I called several times by using different phones just to get the authorization code and I waited more than an hour on both phones and still no one answer. I don't know why our company switched to this horrible company with no service. Just horrible. read more

Zero stars should be an option. Customer service is horrible. Transferred funds while an account exchange was processing. Customer service said it was my fault and charged transfer fees twice. When I attempted to explain what they did, she continued to repeat herself and talk in circles. Can't believe I stayed an account holder as long as I did. It was the same horrible interaction whenever I had to contact them directly. read more

I have request payment for my medical expenses, on going since January 24 "undergoing problems". I just hope it is FDIC insured! I have quite a bit of money in this HSA account! read more

Off to a pretty bad start. Their sign-up process is long (which is fine), but froze at the very last step (the e-signature part), and I'm guessing that's currently why my account currently shows up as frozen. Tried calling customer service within business hours (a full hour before they close), and after the unhelpful automated message system, I got a "there are no staff to take your call" and hung up on. An awesome waste of time. read more

Customer service is horrible. You're not going to speak to someone in this country, or minimally someone that has command over the language. Not to mention the unconscionable wait times. And for some godforsaken reason, they take 5-7 business days to process an ACH transfer from your bank (despite the fact it's posted by your bank within 1 business day... because it's an ACH.. the whole point is that it's instant). Calling customer service will only frustrate you further, make you want to close your account, and question your life. Luckily, my employer is transitioning to a different HSA provider, whom I'm already much more impressed by (it's not hard, in fairness). Two stars because the app is decent. Many things can be managed through the app. Just don't find yourself in a position where you need to speak to a human. Good luck. read more

This has to be one of the worst financial services I've ever dealt with. I never get a statement on my investments and can't even access my investments directly through their web site. The SEC needs to investigate this operation. I'm sure they are up to no good. read more

Garbage Customer Service. First, the young people you have answering your phone need better equipment - and they need not be slurring or mumbling on the phone. Secondly, why are you asking 45 questions over and over to confirm someone's identity? You asked more questions than the bank does - and I just needed a simple question answered. The answer was a yes or no........incredibly dense, incredibly horrible service. What a joke. read more

Can I give it a ZERO star? Worst company ever! They charge $3.25 per month no matter how much balance you keep in there. Fed up and transferred to Fidelity and they charged $25 for the transfer. But it was not over. Somehow there was some credit appeared in the account and they didn't let me know until 6 months later and during the months they kept charging $3.25/month again even though the account was supposed to be closed and they should have sent me a check for that credit. Very unhappy and called, some lady with thick foreign accent was not much help and had balls hanging up on me. I was so pissed and just filed a small court claim suit on them. Yeh I even paid some fee for it but I just wanted to stab the company. Let's see what happens. read more

They don't follow IRS guidelines on what's a medical expense. They have been denying me reimbursement for MRI, CT scans and therapy even after uploading receipts from my dr visits. It feels straight up illegal what they are doing. They are basically trying to steal my money! It shouldn't be this hard to get your own money back. What a scam!! read more

The online system for reimbursements has been down for several days and the company has no work around to enable customers with large claims to retrieve their money. There is no ETA when the system will be back online. This is like a bank closing its doors indefinitely and not letting you get access to your money. The company is clearly not suited to providing reliable service. The staff is nice, but helpless. read more

Horrible company!!! Their services must be dirt cheap because my company keeps using them to manage our spending accounts. They constantly deny claims, and with every deny there is a new excuse. The website is horrible as well and not intuitive, and thus is from someone who has been in IT for 20+ years. read more

New job and new benefits provider. First experience was 68 minutes on hold for customer service.

if there is a 0 rating, I would have gone with 0 with this company. This company is horrible. I called so called their customer care, they asked me too many unnecessary questions. Even after providing full name, SSN, e-mail id, mailing address, full mailing, mother's maiden name, phone number, this company did nothing and the guy who stole the card is still roaming around and swiping the card. What a horrible company. The thief is stealing my money from card, and while reporting to these dumb company customer care people are torturing by asking too many personal information to do nothing. Why cant they ask some information when the thief is swiping cards. All other credit/debit card company blocked the cards and disputed the transactions after couple of questions. This dumb company does not deserve to do business. read more

The worst customer service ever, I was trying to reach them out by phone for a months, YES a months, but every time they put me on hold and they never answer. read more

Should you switch employers - it is extremely cumbersome to move money out of a BenefitWallet HSA. These guys made the portal UI confusing, and I had to verbally confirm over the phone an entire business day AFTER initiating an electronic-transfer rollover of my funds. Mind you, the clock is always ticking - you incur a $3.50 management fee every month. Truly despise this service. BenefitWallet, thank you for making this a terrible experience for me! read more

I keep submitted all the required documentation and they still DENY my claims. My account is now deactivated, I cannot purchase any medicine or things needed for personal care. I've submitted all receipts for claims. I have called the business many times. I have complained to my employer about their service. It seems they deny claims so that they can draw interest on all of OUR money. Absolutely horrible company. read more

BenefitWallet offers okay self-service online, but they have higher monthly maintenance fee, long transfer periods, they charge you $35 to transfer your money to another HSA, don't have account closure forms available online (you have to find one with your new HSA and use that, and then call BenefitWallet for their address)... essentially they make it harder and more expensive to save or transfer your own money than any other HSA I've ever had. Very non-transparent and intentionally difficult. read more

1 star is generous. Their website/login is terrible. It doesn't recognize my phone or computer. I then need to call in and get a security code. 1 hour and 10 minutes later, an Indian lady answers and tries to help me. We literally hit 8pm eastern and then she hangs up on me. Now the phone line says they are closed read more

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH Benefit Wallet - it took 4 requests to get a credit card which they then canceled - they make any claim as confusing as possible. they begin by denying everything, make you send multiple recepts even denied an out patent procedure as Mass General Hospital - unbelievable - You MUST understand their business model is based on making it imposable to claim the money you have paid them because anything unclaimed at the end of a year THEY KEEP and there is nothing you can do - customer service is non-existantant, they are unethical and in my opinion nothing short of criminal in the way they take your money. read more

My company has used them for 2 years - they are absolutely terrible. If you try to get any support they just keep sending canned email responses and when you call they barely speak English and give you the run around. If your company is considering - I strongly encourage another option. read more

OMG!!!!! I don't know why, they chose this company to handle our Flexible spending account! On August 15th I made a purchase at target, and two of the items weren't covered,so I ended up taking them back,so I can be refunded. Target decided to put my refund on my HSA card, and BenefitWallet accepted the refund, which they shouldn't have. I've had to call three times,to explain that I want my money back, because I didn't use the HSA card. Apparently, the first representatives put in her notes, that I wanted to cancel the refund, which was a lie. I received a voicemail today, telling me,in order to receive my refund that target sent, I must file a claim and submit the necessary receipts from target. Why should I have to submit any receipts, when you received my refund. Quite naturally I want my money, sent electronically into my account,so I submitted what I had. Hopefully there shouldn't be any problems!! I loved the other we had prior to getting BenefitWallet. read more

This company is one of the worst I have ever experienced. They charge $3.50/mo and have terrible customer service and a glitchy website. I am leaving the company for another HSA provider. read more
