I called this location for and insurance quote. I was shopping for auto and renters insurance. I…read morehad been with USAA for 6 years but friends had suggested trying state farm. I googled a local agent and this location was my top selection option. I spoke to someone who called herself lyz. I explained my needs and expectations. We agreed on a auto and renters insurance bundle for about 180ish a month ( that quote was $46 dollars less than USAA). I called back a few days later and revisited our past conversation to make sure that I had a clear understanding of my pricing and coverage . I purchased my policy and went about my life. About a month later I received notice that I had been denied my rental insurance policy ( for a past claim that I declared prior to my quote) I was disappointed because I could had simply stayed with USAA. About a months later I buy a new car. I was told " good new you premium only went up $7) I was like "cool" a month later I noticed my bank statement had a withdrawal for $294. This is $114 more than my agent had mentioned. I immediately called customer service. I over a period of four days I spoke to 5 state farm Representatives. No one was clear on what happened. I called USAA back and with monthly payments of $185. I was only with this location for 3 months and everything I was told was untrue. In 3 months my premium increases $114 and my renters insurance was dropped. Im glad to be back with USAA I do not trust this place at all. They are either unethical or incompetent. Many years ago State Farm had to quit writing Homeowners insurance. During that time we…read morepurchased a house, so we bought Homeowners coverage from Don Hinson's Allstate. We switched our Auto insurance to him as we always keep the coverages a the same place. Our primary concern was the Homeowners, so we just gave them a copy of our State Farm Auto policy and stated that we wanted the exact same coverages. A few days later we got a crack in the windshield. When I called to report the claim, I was shocked to find our that our Deductible had been changed from $50 to $150. I explained that this was incorrect, but the lady I was talking with stated the windshield would be covered at -$150. Then she quietly told me, "why don't you tell me now to change the deductible, then call back in a few days to report the windshield damage?" I told her that I felt that was deceitful. Then I spoke with Mr. Hinson and explained the problem. He was adamant that our deductible was $150 - that WE had made the error. In essence he was right = we made the error of going to him for insurance. Thankfully we had not yet cancelled our State Farm Auto policy, so we called our SF agent, Craig Sebek, explained the situation and asked for his help. He cheerfully and quickly had our windshield repaired with the $50 deductible. Needless to say, the Allstate Policies were cancelled as soon as SF could write Homeowners. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY.
