I have not been very satisfied with this company. They have failed to add the amount that I elected from my employer and lack of response by them. I am not satisfied with the back and forth. I wish my agency can stop dealing with this company. Plus, they keep saying that they will add it and then I am getting messages saying that I don't have it. It's too confusing and I pay my money bi-weekly with my paycheck and this has not been added yet. It's very unacceptable. I am considering not doing business with them when Open Enrollment hits again and just save money to put on a separate card for medical transactions only. I am done with BRI. read more

The first prescription that we tried to fill after activating COBRA through BRI was rejected because my wife's birthday was listed as invalid. We had no issues with my wife's prescriptions at this same pharmacy during the 1.5 years I was employed. Once we switched over to COBRA with BRI, this issue came up at the first opportunity. I called BRI's help desk to check if they had the right birthdate, and all they could do was "open a case with their eligibility team", and ask that I give them 5-10 business days to respond. To check on a birth date. And there's no reason it should have changed. I couldn't be more disappointed in their service. read more

This is like being on a merry go round. You call, they tranfer the call, then you get someone who says they are not trained in what you need to ask. Even though you already told them what you need to begin with!! You have to wait for a call back which can take awhile or a day!! This is beyond the worst company I have ever delt with. You call they transfer you to the Suppose it department that you need to be at, then no one answers, they tell you to leave a message, because you have a life and are not sitting by your phone when you miss the call you have to call the customer service line back again and do the same process all over again. This is some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The wait times are absurdly long, and when you finally get in contact with someone they immediately transfer you to someone else. I've been on hold with them for over an hour today, because I keep getting transferred to the wrong people. I recently started a new job that uses this company for commuter benefits and I have never dealt with a worse vendor. It's been three weeks since they supposedly shipped my commuter benefits card, it has not arrived, I don't believe they really sent it. They made me wait an additional five days outside the general waiting period before they would replace it because "it's the holidays." Thanksgiving was last week, and that's one day? The customer service reps on the phone and via email are extremely rude. They cut me off and would not listen to me. No one has ever once apologized to me that I have been waiting over a month for my own money (it's pre tax commuter benefits). It is absolutely insane how bad this service is and how little they care Update: I just asked them another question about an FSA account and they sent me a snotty email telling me to look at my plan highlights, which I was never sent and didn't know was a document, because I never got any information about the account. read more

The worst service. I have been under their cobra for two months and have had zero coverage. They messed up in how they sent over my eligibility to Cigna and marked me as only having coverage for Dental even though I only elected for Medical and have been paying them $773 for this "coverage". I have paid thousands out of pocket while trying to get a hold of them and its completely impossible. On hold for hours then sent to a call back line that takes sometimes 8 to 12 hours to get someone on the line with zero resolve, telling me they fixed the issue and then I find out the next day that nothing was done and try to go through the process all over again. I am completely desperate to have this issue resolved. All I need is for someone to call me and stay on the line long enough to connect to Cigna to allow them to communicate what they need in order for me to have the correct coverage. If I could go back in time I would not opt for this service at all and recommend finding any other option than this while looking for insurance coverage. My last day at my employer was mid Dec 2019. All the sudden the card stopped working 10 days after my last day. I have called a few times. On hold for 20 minutes at a time. kicked off and had to dial back in a few times. the first rep told me a new card should arrive in a few days. 2 weeks later, i called again to find out what happened. and the new rep told me that the company is no longer dealing with them and the remaining funds will go back to my former employer. My former employer denied that info. 2 weeks after I called again and I was told the card is on the way. Its been 2 months and still this company has my Money and they give me the run around. They hang up on you when its your turn to be helped and kick you out of the queue. This is the worst company and customer service I have ever dealt with. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. This company acquired our COBRA company last year and it's been awful. They forgot to send out open enrollment packets for our COBRA participants. Once they were sent (January) they didn't get anyone enrolled do now no one has coverage. It's been a nightmare since we started working with them. I called several times due to my card was blocked for FSA medical co-pay. Each call I was waiting for long time even over an hour, but didn't get the person who could handle for me, and I couldn't continually wait for hundreds calls ahead of me. I left my message, but never got response. In addition, I submitted my invoice per its request to show the medical charge as well as BRI received the charge showing who charged, office information........ but it still asked me the documents although BRI had all information.........I wish my employer will change the FSA company. read more

I honestly think the whole company is a scam, they do everything they can to make it difficult to impossible to use what is your own funds. This company started out by accidentally removing thousands of dollars from my salary for years without me knowing. I never signed up for it. I live in Florida where my parking was free and I would never be interested in such a service. Because of the IRS, I wasn't allowed a refund and for the last ten years I have been using this stupid card for a service I never wanted to pay for parking. In South Florida, there is little paid parking so I only use it maybe once every six months while they subtract $5.75 a month from my money and at the end of every year, the IRS takes money out. I think I lost around $3000 with these clowns. As I move from job to job, this parking card is always with me and rarely works at any parking lot. If you want to submit a claim, some reps tell you that you are not allowed to when it is a possibility. You have to fill out and mail a form like it's 1978. read more

If I could give a negative score for BRI's lack of customer service I would. Starting with the phone system, if your phone for some reason is not doing touch tone, you cannot get anywhere!! It gives you 2 tries then hangs up due to "no response". I have been calling every day this week, multiple times a day and have never been put thru to a human. Their system keeps you on hold and at 45 minutes, states due to high call volume call back later then hangs up on you....NICE!!BRI, you are the worst...it almost appears the employers hire you to find every way possible not to pay a FSA claim, then at the end of the day the employer gets to keep MY MONEY instead of paying for valid bills...it's a scam!! This company handles my employer's pre-tax benefits. I've been with this employer, and using BRI's FSA and commuter benefit services, for about 18 months. So far I've been really happy with their service. The website and app are simple, easy to use, and give me the info I need. Any time I've submitted a manual claim it's been processed quickly. The few times I've had to call someone on the phone, they've generally been helpful and responsive. I honestly have no complaints! read more

Like others who have given reviews here, when I started participating in the commuter benefits, the card took over a month to arrive even though they had taken the funds from 2 paychecks(I canceled the commuter benefit until I received the card). Then today I had to pay out of pocket due to an error from them(had sufficient funds but the account was closed? Or not?... they were just as confused as I was). The rep I was speaking to kept giving me the run around and when asked directly if this was due to a mishap on BRI's end, she would deflect. When I finally asked to speak to a supervisor, she transferred me to their general voicemail and left the call. The absolute worst customer service and the worst benefits company. I can't even begin to tell you how much I dislike this company, the poor communication style that they have given to my exmployees and bad guidance from the customer service team. I would never recommend them to anyone. There are a few people who I've had pretty good experiences with so I will shoot them out: Fareeha Khan has been extremely helpful, and most importantly, patient, as our company transfers to WageWorks. WORST EVER!!!! Would give negative stars if I had the choice. My first time leaving a review, but I'm soooo frustrated with this so called company. The absolute worst website I have EVER been on. AFTER uploading my receipts, it won't let me SAVE and SUBMIT. I have attempted to on multiple occasions over several months. IF I attempt it ENOUGH times, it may upload, but I have oftentimes spent many hours with many attempts. I believe this is by intent. I'm sure they want me to use their Prepaid Mastercard instead OR download their app, thus they make it impossible to upload receipts if you want to use your own credit card. Just confirming that all of the previous reviews are still accurate. I am a participant, and if there was anything I could do to change my employer's mind about using this company I would do it. They must offer really cheap rates to companies, and pay their own employees nothing. Otherwise it's hard to explain their work ethics and why companies choose them. I submitted a claim on 8/27, and my funds have still not been deposited into my account - 9 business days later. I also sent an email on 9/5 asking for an update, and still have not received a response. I know they will blame the Labor Day holiday (because this isn't my first rodeo with them), but really I've never gotten a clear answer from them about processing times even when I've called and asked directly (the site says 5 business days, but when you click on a reimbursement request, the drop down states another 1-2 days!). And lookout if there is a holiday! Because then it will actually be 9 business days. I wouldn't care if this lack of reimbursement didn't cause my rent payment to be late (and late beyond the 5 day grace period even!). It's true that they act like the money is theirs - with no regard to the actual people whose money they are withholding. I was told that I had more deductions than what was in my account and someone would get back to me. No one did, and after an email and two phone calls, I got told that that information was inaccurate and they gave me totally different numbers. Who is correct? I am dealing with BRI-Cobra as a retiree. It's a terrible company. Customer service is rude. I receive unending payment packets in the mail. Their letters contain multiple abbreviations and acronyms which are not explained. They gave me barely a week's notice when my dental insurance ended. This is a pathetic excuse for a "benefit". Really??? My job ended on the 26th of one month and there was no need to park in the garage any longer. I immediately canceled the monthly garage agreement but then the fun began. Since they had already deducted the next month and, get this, the next, next month, from my pay - I could not get any of the close to $600 back. It all was on the Beinversal card which I had to use for parking - but I don't need to park in a garage any longer. Multiple phone calls to Beniversal and to the company payroll dept ended with the "IRS blah, blah, blah..." So now I am out of pocket with no recourse. I had to wait over a month and a half for my card to be sent in the mail, which is completely unacceptable (they lied and said it had been sent 3 weeks ago and the card just miraculously arrived two days after I complained), and they additionally had the audacity to charge me $12 because I hadn't activated my card yet....yes the card I hadn't received! I chatted online with Customer Service who assured me they would refund me the $12 they stole. They never did, and honestly after dealing with this company multiple times and being hung up on by their rude customer service reps, my sanity isn't worth fighting for the $12 they stole from me. This company needs to be investigated and shut down for good. Even if the pre-tax saves me around $450 annually, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER use this company again! BRI took over 121 Benefits last year in September. Public decency standards dictate that I cannot use my preferred words in this review. They charge $500 for "non-discrimination testing & re-enrollment annually. What a joke, not to mention a surprise. I have 3 employees in the program. The service has been awful. We were told we'd get an IDENTICAL plan to what we had before. Lo and behold, when one employee's supplemental health insurance premiums were submitted, they were denied. We had to have them re-write our agreement. The employee FINALLY got reimbursed for Q3 2021 last month. STILL waiting for Q4. Another employee had a claim denied because the statement she submitted wasn't itemized. HELLO? It was a statement from a therapist. HIPAA dictates that's a no-no. From the Administrator end, I have never experienced such unresponsiveness. They don't give a rodent's posterior if I have questions or if my employees want info or valid reasons for denials. Less than 6 months in with this clown show and I'm shopping for another provider. read more

Dependent Care FSA user. Absolutely horrible experience with this company. All i have experienced with them is it doesn't matter how well organized you are or have your information in in a timely manner they will change the 'amount of time' it takes to process a claim. Magically, when i reach out to them (if you can even get anyone phone or online chat) they suddenly approve my claim that very day. Currently on business day 8 after a claim submission and can't get anyone on the phone or on their online chat. There was a two week period at the beginning of January where the online chat wasn't even available, it would just say "agent offline" even though it was within their business hours. When i finally got ahold of someone they asked me if i would like to have their supervisor contact me about this experience and i said 'yes absolutely', gave them all my contact info NEVER got a phone call, email, text. nothing. I turned in receipts for structural therapy, like PT, which had a code that had been accepted before. They kept writing back saying they needed more info, which I kept giving them and then they said I had missed the deadline. This was January 6th. They stole my $1800. This was a legit injury which I was getting help for. They had already reimbursed for the same code. They kept jerking me around until it was too late and they could keep the money. i guess I was spoiled. Back in the day, I would get a sweet little surprise in the mail once a month - two $64 bart tickets, paid for before-tax.. Easy Peasy... cha cha cha. Firm Implosion. New Firm. Money is still taken out of my check pre-tax, but I don't get my tickets mailed to me anymore, I still have to buy them. And, I missed the part where I had to mail in receipts to get that money back, so BRI has a few hundred of my dollars banked... Mail-in receipts? Really? No pdf via email? I can fax my receipts in, but that goes on my *personal account* and I don't care to incur those fees. So I scramble in the morning trying to catch the early train, hitting up my bank or credit card for yet another bart ticket, hoping the machine prints a receipt, grabbing the receipt, actually holding onto it, making a copy of it along with all the others, and mailing the copies to Rochester NY, praying that all my submissions are *accepted* so I get my own money back.
