I don't know if it is the light placement or the tone of the light, but I looked pretty ragged in the mirror. My hair looked frizzy and gross and not at all like me. I commented to the stylist about it and she agreed that many clients have similar comments. So - as long as you understand that what the mirror shows isn't really what you look like, then your expectations will be met. The staff was very friendly. I chose Salon 124 because some online reviews of other local salon staff sort of scared me away from the other salons. I don't want a "snobby" salon. I want a salon that will be happy to see me, whether I am a mom who just needs an afternoon away from home or whether I am a fashionista who cares about the latest hair trends. I want to walk in to smiles and a "Welcome! We are happy to have you."

I made an appointment at the end of July. I arrived early, and there's a sign at the door asking customers to text a number when they arrive. They will text back when the tech is ready. I went back to my car for a few minutes until I received a text. The beauty bar is salon is pretty big and sectioned by different services. For example, the hair salon is on one side and has a different entrance. The brow bar's entrance is behind the building. The space is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Eden introduced herself and took me to her room. She went over the process before getting started. I don't have any tattoos, so I was terrified to say the least, but Eden was very patient. She helped calm my nerves and assure me that it will be virtually painless. And it was! She used a numbing cream and I barely felt anything. The process took a little over an over and I am SO happy with my brows! I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. I went back a couple months later for my touch up and asked Eden to add blending. She had originally suggested it at my first appointment, but I thought I just wanted microblading. She was right and I should have listened in the first place. She cut 9.5 inches off my hair into the hair line when all she was asked to do was trim the bottom of my hair and trim the bangs. It turned into a hack job that will now take years to grow out. And because she cut into my hairline on the sides, that 1.5" hacked hair is going into my eyeballs when I am outside with the wind blowing. Doing my hair in the morning is annoying because I have to try to weed out the hacked off pieces. Ulta lost my family's business for sure.
