I've never been to pain management as my primary care doctors knew me, my conditions, and managed my pain. I guess they felt confident in their abilities unlike Webb. I searched for a pain doc and decided on this place due to all of the good reviews and because he's black. It's no secret that 6F doctors treat black patients differently than they do 6F patients and I felt Dr.Webb would be more kind and compassionate regarding my pain as a young black female with many health conditions. WRONG! The appointments with Webb were always rushed, he never did a physical exam on me, never ordered any x-rays or mri's (I thought odd since there is a radiology facility down the street), bloodwork, didn't document my right arm pain, never diagnosed me, and overall he didn't seem interested or engaged with me much. Just stared at his computer talking to his nurse. My first appointment was a consult that consisted of nothing really but him telling me he was going to call in some expensive cream from Louisiana and I had to go to physical therapy. I have joint pain from the Wegener's, acute pancreatitis, sciatica, and back pain. I let him know my history, the med I was on, what I cannot take which is NSAIDS including Tylenol as it has caused pancreatitis in me. He said he wanted my records before prescribing anything but he said he would prescribe me Percocet (he claimed to not and not the med I was on. He said he doesn't prescribe oxycodone which is a lie as he told me he does. I personally faxed him over past medical records including pharm records to show I took the med and how often I got it filled, my rheumy faxed him over office notes as he requested, and even called him and left him his personal cell number if he wanted to talk to him. My rheumy called me that night and let me know he called Webb etc. Webb and his 6F nurse claimed to not know anything about that. They faxed his office again. My previous pain med was oxycodone immediate release 15mg AS NEEDED for pain and I did not take it all the time. I explained this to Dr.Webb, in detail, and how I was prescribed that last summer when I was hospitalized with pancreatitis and the hospitalist told me to not take Tylenol. Dr.Webb ignored it. He first prescribed Norco (later he said he didn't remember saying Percocet and it seems like he has memory issues) a med that has Tylenol in it. I wasn't going to take it and still haven't though I did have it filled because I felt I was stuck with this doctor. I also have a weakness of giving people chances so I thought at the 3rd visit I would attempt to explain yet again. I spoke with the pharmacist after he filled it and I let him know all of this and how I spoke with Webb about this. The pharmacist could see my profile and saw the last pain med I was on. He told me pure oxy doesn't have Tylenol but Norco does. I attempted to talk to Dr.Webb again on the phone and I have the conversation recorded. Georgia like Alabama is a one party consent state so I don't need anyone's permission to tell them I am recording them or get their permission. I have an app installed on my phone because I had some dealings with an ex employer that lied on me and I had to sue them. I won't go into the full call but it was basically Webb playing semantics, wasting my time and telling me I would have to have kidney failure or be on my death bed before he'd continue my med I was on that worked for me, etc etc. He also said "I have to protect my business". Red flag right there it was never about patient care but about business. I also let him know the first med he prescribed me was something I hadn't taken since the beginning of 2020 and that dosage wasn't even something I had been on. Again he played semantics and said I had taken it and again I had to explain the last time I took it and why I couldn't. It was clear he did not bother to read all of the records he claimed he wanted. in fact he told me at the last visit "I don't go by what other doctors say". Lol so then why the heck would you want my records including imaging if you don't go by what other doctors say? At the last visit he prescribed me oxycodone with Tylenol again something I told him I couldn't take. Only this time I went ahead and filled it and took one pill. I ended up having a reaction to it (neck swelled, throat closed, and hurt, hurts to talk, gastro issues flared, etc). On Jan.28 I called Webb to let him know and speak with him but his secretary said "he doesn't call people back" and of course he never called me back. I have filed a complaint with the medical board and will seek legal action. Instead of wasting people's time Webb should review records FIRST before taking on patients he's scared to treat or not be a pain doctor. That little $35 copay they contacted me about I will not pay

The pain was excruciating, resulting in me having to go to the emergency room because the pain was so bad that it was adversely impacting my blood pressure. Due to multiple trips to the emergency room I was admitted. The attending physician in her discharge notes referred me as normal to an orthopedic specialist, but she also mentioned that there was a neurosurgeon in the Piedmont Physician's Group that she would like for me to obtain a consult. Of course the Ortho doctor initially ordered PT which did not help me and after 2 months of that, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gates, for the first time, a doctor actually listened to me. He ordered a nerve study and other test and more x-rays and when I returned for our consultation, he took time, we reviewed the results and he provided a diagnosis and plan of action. Diagnosis, sciatica and my L4 & L5 disc had slipped and was pinching my nerves. At this time I am on a walker. I had gone in less than 6 months from high impact aerobics to living, breathing and with every movement of my body being in horrible pain & only able to be slightly mobile on a walker with no relief regardless as to the strength of the pain medication. So very thankful for the ER's referral to Dr. Gates! He was caring, listened to my concerns and fears and provided me with a comprehensive plan of action that included a foraminotomy procedure that restored my quality of life and removed constant, tingling in my (R) leg and hip and living without constant pain and discomfort. Thank you Dr. Gates for your professional, caring approach to patient care. In my months of care with this physician, he only presented himself as a physician that was 100% dedicated to improving my health! 2 years later and I am still happy and pain free! Background / History Randomly carrying boxes up the stairs…read moreand tore my left meniscus a few years back - and TRIED to do PT with Wellstar. Lol. My knee wasn't necessarily getting worse, but it wasn't getting better either - so I decided to try PT again this year. Wellstar EW Connector was closer, but based on my history with them (lol), I decided to try PT Solutions (A Wellstar Co.) instead and Google claimed this was the location nearest to me. It was not - see also 1812 Powder Springs Rd Marietta review. Exterior They're in the Richard B Sailors Publix plaza. The address is 3721 New MacLand Rd even though the plaza faces Richard B Sailors. There's a lot of stuff jammed in this plaza so parking can be a challenge. Interior Small space, but but not cluttered. Customer Service I liked that they were easy to reach and allowed me to complete my paperwork before visit (though I did have to request it). When I arrived, I was a bit taken aback by how many patients there were. It seemed to take a bit of time before anyone was ready for me. They didn't realize that I'd sent my paperwork already (because they asked me to complete it again). Also - some of the the staff seemed a bit 'harried' and stressed. I have one of those 'angry resting' faces, so it may have just been that. When I entered and was giving my name, there were two African American ladies standing behind the person I was speaking too and they were listening to us and frowning / with eyebrows furrowed. When I finally glanced up at them pointedly, they finally looked back down at their files and devices, but it was weird. I am really started to feel my age with regards to how people interact socially with one another nowadays. No stars deducted for this - because as I said, it might just be angry resting faces. After checking, and finding my paperwork, I was told to have a seat. Within a few minutes, a very trim, VERY well-dressed gentleman came over and introduced himself. Seriously, Tristan, would not be out of place having lunch at some swanky place in Manhattan. He was very positive and upbeat without being over-the-top or saccharine. He was treating me and 2 other patients at the same time, so I had to get over my introvertedness and I actually talked to the patient that was in the chair next to my table. Seriously, she was less than 5 inches away from me. Lol. I found out later that they do have a private room in the back for folks that request it, but I'd be too self-conscious to request it. Price / Value Once I got ready to check out, I was advised that my visits were going to be $71 per visit. At their recommended two visits each week - that's a little over $560 per month. I was pretty annoyed at myself for NOT having asked about the pricing before being treated. Based on my history, I thought they were going to discuss price with me BEFORE treating me, but with the two angry looking women upfront, I really just didn't feel comfortable asking a bunch of questions. They did tell me I could pay later. And I did find out MUCH LATER ,that this information was incorrect. This is where the 2 star deduction comes from. I think someone should have contacted me to discuss my financial obligation as soon as they heard back from my insurance company and I think it's odd that they got my co-pay information so wrong. I think it shows poor organization. Overall Overall, I think this facility is ok. A little too busy for me, but otherwise, pretty standard with their offerings.

I had 4 sessions at PT Solutions, Powder Springs, GA. It was the worst experience I ever had at a…read morephysical therapy place. I never got full attention, and that happened during every session regardless if the place was busy or not. I had 2 therapists in 4 sessions Brandi and Princess without any prior notification. Changing therapist was very inconvenient. Each session, the therapist gives me a useless exercise (an exercise that does not need any therapist at all) then walk away and work with three other clients at the same time. Alarm goes off after each exercise and there is no therapist around, most of the session time goes in waiting. I had to wait after the alarm went off until the therapist finally shows up, or most likely the therapist across the room will send instructions with someone else, which can be another therapist who doesn't know my medical condition or a receptionist who is not a licensed therapist. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I had a surgery in my foot, I can't walk without crutches and a walking boot. I can't just let whoever touch my injured foot. At the end, the therapist comes with a pack of ice for 3 minutes and let me go 10-15 minutes before the hour is over. When I requested to finish the whole hour, the response was you can stay here in ice. I decided that this is going to be my last session at that location (or any PT solution all together) when they sent the new cleaning employee to give me an exercise direction and put ice pack around my injured foot. Poor guy didn't even know what to do, or which part I needed the therapy for. He didn't know how to put it, the ice pack didn't hold together and kept falling off. That happened while the place was not busy; therapists were just chatting with each other and sent the cleaning guy to me. They saw that he can't manage and didn't do anything. That place doesn't have qualified therapist to treat a condition like mine. They had no clue what to do at all. They have bunch of other clients with much less complicated conditions. For as much as physical therapy costs, clients deserve one-on-one attention from a professional therapist with a projective recovering plan, not randomly selected exercises. I wasted my time and money without any improvement. I would never go back to that place nor recommend it to anyone.
