PT solutions believe in my recovery more than any other medical professional on my team. When you walk in you'll see the lovely Mel or Ashley at the front desk ready to check you in with a warm smile. Sometimes I have scheduling issues that require creative problem solving and Mel always has the answer paired with a positive attitude. The physical therapists there are great. Each member on the team not only brings their A game every day but also their individual strengths. Ryan believes in you more than you'll believe in yourself some days. It's good because you'll find yourself saying "wow I can't believe I achieved that". Austin is very creative with his exercises so neither you nor your muscles ever get used to the same old thing stuck making no progress. Hailey is a great listener and sincerely invested in what you have to say about how you're feeling. Aubrey isn't there anymore but I have to give her a shout out for her personality. Also, I'm a single mom who has to bring my 3 year old sometimes. He loves it there and they really enjoy him too. Many moms bring their kids when they need because lord knows us moms help ourselves last. Anyways, I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I just cannot recommend them enough. While I wish everyone the best of health I recommend here for the best of healing.

I recently had an appointment at Watauga Orthopedics with Dr. Richard W. Duncan on December 10,…read more2024, to discuss some issues I've been having with my shoulder and neck. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive as I had hoped. During my appointment, I explained my symptoms to Dr. Duncan and he had me do a couple of exercises to assess my strength. However, I struggled with one of the exercises, and instead of offering support or understanding, Dr. Duncan's comment, "come on now, you can do this," felt dismissive. His comment was very unprofessional, and I am thinking "are you kidding me?" Additionally, Dr. Duncan recommended a procedure, but after how he handled my struggle with the exercise, I definitely didn't feel comfortable with him performing any medical procedure on me. I left the appointment feeling uncertain about the next steps. He didn't clearly explain why the procedure needed to be done twice or why it was required by the insurance company, which left me feeling confused and without a full understanding of my options. Even the X-ray he provided had unclear medical notes that I couldn't make sense of, and he didn't offer any explanation to help clarify them. Overall, I felt that Dr. Duncan lacked empathy and a proper bedside manner, which made the experience uncomfortable. I would have appreciated more detailed communication and professionalism. It's important for healthcare providers to listen to patients and clearly explain medical processes. I hope that future visits to Watauga Orthopedics are handled with more transparency and compassion. BTW I haven't received a survey asking about my experience, but I have received several emails regarding my co-pay. And of course, I'll pay my co-pay because who wants or needs $50 going to collections. Sarah W.

They provided really good directions and there was ample parking when I arrived. Unfortunately there was a terrible auto accident on US26S and I was held up in traffic and arrived a little late but the Doctor welcomed me and was very understanding . Both the Doctor (Kim) and her Assistant/ Secretary (Rob) made me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable. The facility was very clean, modern, and comfortable. Since this was my first visit the Doctor had to review my medical record while I completed a new patient data form. Even so, I didn't wait more than 10 minutes maximum before being called it to see the Doctor. In my experience I found her to be very intelligent, professional, polite, courteous, thoughtful and very thorough. I really liked the way that she listened to my concerns and actually appeared to care about my well being. Instead of being like so many doctors with the DICTATOR complex she actually explained things to me in a manner that I could easily understand them and she suggested a number of options for me to consider and choose. However, I must clarify that the Doctor was very professional and she did counsel me on my weight and the ramifications and dangers to my overall health and well being. But then she countered with very sensible and viable solutions so I can also say that she is well rounded :) t was a very pleasant doctor visit if there ever was one :) I would definitely recommend her to all of my family, friends, and colleges alike.
