My foot pain, which was severe in the mornings, was impacting my ability to run. Jaime did a thorough assessment, helped me set realistic goals and tailored an individualized plan that not only completely resolved my plantar fasciitis pain but also addressed my overpronation, my chronic piriformis syndrome and my overall running form. Her treatments included strengthening, stability, balance, scraping to free up the adhesions, stretching and neuromuscular trigger point release to name just a few of her methods. I recently achieved one of my goals thanks to her help and ran the 5-mile Shamrock Run, finishing first in my age group. She has provided me with indispensable tools that I will continue to use to improve my running form for years to come. Didn't like divulging so much personal info before I decided if I was going to go there. Next - at the appointment I walked in the door & was met by a huge dog - Great Dane maybe. Scared me! One of the practitioners brings her dog to work - not thinking maybe a client is scared of or allergic to dogs. I noticed a heavy musty smell and in the small waiting area, there was an old couch that looked like it was salvaged from a garage sale or someone's musty basement. I was kept waiting. This place is way too informal for me. And stinky ... skanky in my opinion. I wrote a note for the PT and left. Couldn't stand the smell and the dog! I will seek a more clinical or sports medicine type environment for my physical therapy.

My doctor referred me to Mary Gorman when I was having back pain. Mary was very patient with me,…read moreand she was able to come up with different exercises when I said that the exercise she wanted me to do was causing pain. My core was so weak that most any exercise put a strain on my back. Mary worked with me, modified the exercise, and within weeks, my core was being strengthed and the back pain was abating. Mary showed me how to sleep so I didn't put stress on my back, recommended shoes, and gave me new exercises as my back began to heal. Recently I developed tendonitis. Again, the doctor (actually NP this time) recommended physical therapy. I knew Mary was a good physical therapist, but I figured I needed to see a podiatrist. When I visited the podiatrist, he recommended I see a physical therapist! So Mary is helping me again. If you need a physical therapist, I would highly recommend Mary Gorman. She is very good at what she does and has lots of creative ideas for how to resolve body pain. Plus, she is a really warm and kind person, and a delight to be around!
