Couldn't get an appointment for pain I was having for 2 weeks out. The rep did not offer to put me on a cancellation list or make any other helpful suggestions and ended the text correspondence with "ok." After botching a crown I returned for rework a 2nd time and was left waiting 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. During my first visit, the staff was constantly engaging the Dentist in conversation while he worked on my teeth. I don't like feeling that I am not the focus of the medical care and the results are evidence why this is not a professional way to conduct business. I left the office without getting the Dentist's attention on my last visit, convinced that I would still not be happy with any new work. I also reject the attitude that making a client wait more than 20 minutes after an appt time is acceptable. Now I will have to see another Dentist to repair the shoddy work on the crown. read more

Absolutely the worst dentist experience I have ever had in my entire life. Bridget, the office manager, is very close to being fraudulent in their billing practices. Asks for cash BEFORE billing insurance, consistently mis-billing insurance with incorrect billing codes and telling me that certain things are not covered...I had to research specific billing codes to show her that they are, in fact, covered by my insurance. This is on top of being rude and argumentative. Please, go to any other dentist you can find. read more

People who know me know I'm a pretty private person when it comes to my personal life. But this is something I wanted to share. On October 3 I went to get my teeth cleaned and needed to get six cavities redone. After getting my cavities redone, my left side got an infection. I called the dentist, the soonest they could get me in to look at it was the 7th. I had to bring my 4 month old with me and they had me wait over 45 minutes from running behind. Then proceeded to tell me that I needed to get a root canal and I had to call other places to get quotes. With life right now out-of-pocket expenses were too much and I decided to get the tooth pulled because that's how severe pain I was in. The dentist couldn't get me in to pull my tooth for a full week after determining if it was an infection. They started me antibiotics right away and told me to take 2 Tylenol and two ibuprofens every 6 to 8 hours. I begged the office if there's a cancellation or anything to please get me in as soon as possible. The pain was unbearable. Then trying to take care of a new life (my baby)on top of that was extremely hard. On October 14, I was able to get my tooth pulled. I opted out of taking anything stronger than the Tylenol and ibuprofen that they told me to. I always did the correct amount that the doctors recommended. Next thing you know I'm in so much pain from a dry socket and the next thing you know, severe stomach pain. Pain to the point where my mother-in-law had to take my baby for the day. If anyone knows me knows how hard that is for me to let pain take over me not being a good mom for her. Thank God things were on our side because that day I ended up having to call 911 on myself for losing my eyesight and ability to walk. I was taken in the ambulance to local hospital then transferred to the ICU in Denver. They thought I may have to have a liver transplant. Basically the Tylenol/ibuprofen wasn't filtering through my liver. Therefore, it was poisoning me. The only reason why I was taking that medication was because of my tooth pain. My liver started failing, my kidney started failing right after. It's been a week now that I've been in the hospital. A week of not having my daughter. I've been with her everyday of her life. A week away from my family and friends. Tyler has completely stepped up and been my rock. Thank God for our families. We definitely have a village on our side and I thank God that I'm alive. I just want people to be aware of even listening to the doctors. I should've called around cause of the pain I was in to see if anyone could've gotten me in sooner. Instead of making a new mother sit in agony and pain. Taking Tylenol that much to-the point that now she's sick for her life. I have yet to even hear from the dentist to take a accountability of what they just put me through and apologize. That would go a long way. They knew I was taken to the ICU, but has not even responded to it. Thank you for my friends and FAMILY that have stepped up and helped me and our baby through this time we love you all read more

I am still waiting on a reimbursement check that was supposed to be delivered by the third week of December, as we are heading into February I finally found out that there is no communication between front office, payment posting and the accounting department...the accountant is just now finding out that Dr. Fowler received insurance payment along with what he charged me (double paid). Brigette was unsure of how or how long I will have to wait for corporate (which they couldn't provide me a number for) to handle the double payment. I have had a host of issues - not necessarily my teeth but from the dentists i have chosen in the past. i was told i had to pull my teeth and get ready for false teeth. i took one last chance - a leap of faith and hoping that i found a solution with dr. fowler. after meeting with him and talking - i realized that i just may have found someone truly honest, not just a man of integrity - but his business is built on integrity. the staff treat you like family - the ones you like - and are always very kind and caring. it was as if i had been dealing with dentists from hell and i went and grabbed one from heaven. yep - he's THAT good. yep - THEY are that good. i have been saying gratitude ever since my first meeting and if anybody wants a referall - i'll gladly tell you all about them. it would be my pleasure. read more

Dr. Fowler was a great dentist when I first started going to him then I feel when he couldn't get my dentures to fit right and the right color he sent me a discontinuing dental treatment letter. I just think he could of picked up the phone and call me. I just want Dr. Fowler to reimburse the money I had spent on my dentures so I can go some where else and get me another set of dentures that fit so I don't have to wear 2 different dentures to eat. I hope nobody has to go through what I have gone through. read more

Benchmark Dental in Windsor, Colorado is the best! Not only are they close to home, which is great, their staff is wonderful... they are always friendly and welcoming. The dentists are up to date on dental practices, and they even have a 3D printer, so my mouth guard was ready almost immediately. Their appointment notification system is thorough and comprehensive, with lots of reminders. Benchmark makes going to the dentist, if not enjoyable, at least tolerable! read more

Going to the dentist can be a dreadful experience but I was instantly greeted with smiles and excellent customer service. Both my niece and nephew were treated in the Benchmark Windsor Office. No issue with treatment, however I specifically asked 3 separate people on two occasions whether it would be covered by Medicaid, and was assured it was. As their guardian I'm unfamiliar with, and new to Medicaid requirements. After their visits, I received a bill for services not covered. Understanding payment is responsibility of a patient regardless of insurance I paid the bill; but want to forewarn others to be very careful costs/coverage are completely agreed upon prior to completion of services. I let accounting know it was unreasonable not to proactively inform clients there is a possibility a portion - in this case one tooth due to a Medicaid "3 year rule" - might not be covered. This was not emergent, so certainly could have been delayed until the 3 years were past, or if she developed an issue we could have returned sooner knowing we were responsible for the cost. read more

I'm a picky customer and select dentists and doctors with the same discretion one might choose a college or place of employment. That said, I have experience with both of the dentists and they have impressed me with their knowledge and experience, and they are working with the best tools that I have ever seen as regards abilities in imaging, and crown and implant technology. The hygienists and the rest of the staff are very friendly, capable and attentive. I've been there probably 10-12 times and have zero complaints. Even their magazine selection is decent :-). I don't think that you can make a mistake entrusting these people with your dental care. read more

My whole family (6 of us) have had dental work by Dr. Fowler. After a switch in billing gals, we had some insurance price difference, and we live farther away than i wanted ti travel to see a dentist. Ill start with my treatment...2 crowns. A few fillings. Fillings...sensitive always. 1 crown turned into a huge problem. Needing a root canal. Serios pain infection etc.. now ive list a filling he did less tgan 2 years,ago. 1 of my 3 sons lost 2 fillings. A year and half old. The other son lost 3 fillings less than a year old. The youngest...decay under the filling the dr did. Has to have his tooth pulled and a space maintained until adult tooth comes in. This is excessive bad dental work in one family. I called the front desk...she said she'd call me back..its been over a,week. Do you think theyd offer to fix them..pay my dental bill for them to be fixed... Nope nothin. Thanks for 4 bad mouths of dental work. Sounds like you need more training in fillings. read more

I saw Dr. Widdison in the Greeley today. I have extreme anxiety towards dental work, and always wait too long to go in, which makes matters worse. The entire staff at Bench Mark goes out of their way to put you at ease. I had to have 2 teeth pulled and will need a partial made, but after working with their staff today, I will return with no qualms. So glad I chose their office, and they got me in same day when I told them I was in pain! Thanks again! read more

As a former Dental Assistant I suggest going to a different dentist. While the staff was friendly, the dentist did not follow proper sanitation or attire guidelines. He did not even wash his hands before or after putting them in my friends mouth; gloves don't protect you against everything. On top of this, the dentist told the assistant to treatment plan an extraction on the wrong tooth! In addition, confidential patient information from more than one patient of theirs was displayed on the HD TV screen right in front of my friend and I. We noticed this when they couldn't find my friends medical records that were sent over a month prior. They had put someone else's x-rays and information in his file. This was a major concern for a number of reasons, but the most concerning was that they didn't know he had a severe drug allergy because of this incompetence. The friendliness of the staff does not make up for the negligence of legal standards, patient confidentiality, and cleanliness. read more

This Dental Office has good dentistry (Dr. Fowler) and TERRIBLE accounting! I was told specifically the cost of my procedure (after Insurance Coverage). I was told that they had checked out my insurance and that they would cover 60%. HA! Then I get a bill for the total amount! The Insurance didn't cover that procedure and told me that Benchmark would have known that if they had checked. WHAT !!!!! Sorry, that is not the way I do business......say what you mean and mean what you say. I'll never go back.....can't trust them. read more

I went to Dr. Fowler on December 3, 2015, with extreme tooth pain. Dr. Fowler told me I would need a root canal, so we agreed to the procedure. 3 months later the same tooth is in extreme pain. I go to another Dentist who takes an xray, and tells me, "You need to see a root canal specialist." He told me he has never seen anything like that. I have a picture. In the xray, there is a large white mass, outside one of the roots to my tooth. I went to another Dentist, I was told that the white mass that was now outside my sinus, was root canal cement that leaked due to the root being overfilled. I was an extreme pain when I had to revisit this next Dentist from Dr. Fowlers procedure. I remember during the procedure, Dr. Fowler's assistant said, "The last Dentist I worked for had cement glue that wouldn't harden either." Looking back this leads me to believe that DR. Fowler put the filling back on my tooth, knowing that this had happened. He didn't share this information to me as a patient, or even as a human being. I like to know when there are foreign objects hanging out near my sinus because you made a dental error. We all make mistakes Dr. Fowler, you shouldn't hide them, and increase the risk of infection and injury to your patients. I have xrays, and pictures of my mouth after Dr. Fowlers procedure. It's hard to believe that this is the first time Dr. Fowler has treated a patient this way. I also did not appreciate his staff bringing me the bill to sign in the middle of the procedure. I was not feeling well, it was an operation. Every other Dentist I have been to would wait until after the procedure. So now I am down weeks with pain, and having to pay additional dentists for the same work. I still have this foreign mass in my mouth near my sinus, where I have to get another recommendation to maybe have surgery to have it removed. I was told that could even complicate the tooth, resulting in its loss. I also feel like he treated me far less than a human being, wouldn't you? read more

Getting cavities filled is never fun, especially for kids! My child had 4 cavities in her baby teeth and another dentist wanted to fully sedate her to the tune of $400+ not covered by insurance and very invasive. I knew there had to be a better and safer way...Dr. Fowler, his wonderful assistant and his laser fixed all four cavities in under an hour with no anesthesia of ANY kind needed! Their patience, kindness and dedication to the latest advances in dental care are beyond appreciated by this family! And, bonus, everything was covered by insurance! :) read more

Our family has been going to see Dr. Fowler for just over 2 years now. I could not be happier with the care my family has received. We will continue to have him for our dental health care since he is on top of the latest technology. He is very kind and patient. Willing to work with customers who do not have dental insurance and his Benchmark dental smiles plan is a win win for our family. I had 2 dentists and an oral surgeon quote me on 2 molar implants. Most dentists charge almost 5k for one implant. I ended up going with Dr. Fowler. He gave me the best price hands down. I have had zero complications and the surgery went off without a hitch. In my many years dealing with Dentists, or anyone in the medical field for that matter, I have never come across an issue like this. My son was told he needed sealants for his back teeth. I was told this was fully covered under my insurance. THE ONLY REASON I BOOKED THE APPT as I do not think they are needed and would have gone home to do further research. I received a bill for the full amount about a month later. I called in and had to argue with accounting about the fact that I was told by the lady booking the appt, that stopped to double check my insurance, that the sealants were fully covered. After arguing, they resubmitted and the claim was denied again. I got another bill for 1/2 of the initial amount to be due. They had given me a 50% discount. In my opinion, this bill should have been wiped and an apology sent. They lady with accounting was rude and event went as far as saying, "you wouldn't pay to protect your kids teeth?" Its not that I wouldn't pay, I just don't think they are needed. And I certainly don't need to be judged for that. Aside from billing, I appreciated the cleanings that we received here, we had a couple of pretty amazing hygienists. Unfortunately we have cancelled our families future appointments and will be going elsewhere. read more

When I originally was treated there it was located in Loveland. Dr. Fowler was compassionate and helpful, maybe because at that time he was fairly new to the area or because he did the work himself. When he opened his Windsor office he brought in a dentist who caused severe discomfort and botched work. Before my wife realized that the pain wasn't going away we had paid the bill with cash and never received any apologies.My wife refused to return. I decided to give them another chance when I went in for an inflamed gum that had been causing a lot of pain for a few days after Thanksgiving when I couldn't get in anywhere. Granted I am older and I hadn't always been able to afford dental care I have always tried to practice good hygiene but Dr. Fischer proceeded to berate and embarrass me while I was in there trying to be treated for pain. There were no doors and minimal dividers where i was. He did not give me any care and I had to ask for something that may work to bring the swelling down. He gave me a prescription for an oral rinse and that was all. I went to the desk where I was charged a full rate for an exam that never happened. I paid cash for the visit. I wrote to Dr Fowler but he only mentioned that they had to rely on other dentists as they grew. I later wrote asking for my dental records but I have never received them. read more
