Horrible care. Rude and disrespectful. No connection with patients. Avoid this doctor if you can.

She was very patient, sympathetic to my needs and didn't try to rush me out like so many other doctors.

Very attentive and pleasant doctor. She makes you feel at ease and is not at all rushed as many Doctors seem to be these days.

I had a very bad experience with this physician. She was rude and had no people skills. I have never seen her again.

On this program, I feel great and I get to deal head-on with my issues that lead me to use food in an addictive way. The staff seems a little road wary as I believe they have to shuffle through a lot of people and perhaps have been doing their jobs for years, but if you can ignore that part and focus on the facts and information -- you will find yourself feeling great, losing weight, and getting the ability to explore the food addiction. update 4/5/10: I left this program after losing alot of weight. Unfortunately, as my needs became more in the area of consultation and support, the program is lacking. The staff is burnt out it seems. If you don't have needs for an energetic staff...then this will work well for you. Dr. Kamrath seems to not be as involved except for when you get your blood work done.

Dr Kamrath is extraordinarily caring, respectful and intelligent. Of all the doctors I've had (at 56, I'm in basically good health but have had some issues needing attention) he takes more time to talk to me during my visits. I trust his judgment and never feel rushed during my visits. I am confident that if I had to face a serious illness, he would be a concerned advocate ensuring I got the right care from specialists. I think his practice may be full so that he may not be accepting new patients. But I would encourage people to get on a wait list (if this exists).

I went to see Dr. O'Regan yesterday for a new patient exam. I indicated to the scheduling staff…read morethat I was experiencing severe neck and shoulder pain and needed to see the doctor. It has always been my understanding through the Anthem Blue Cross HMO system that if a patients wants a referral to a specialist, they can do so, but first must meet with their PCP. So while at first Dr. O'Regan seemed friendly, towards the end of my very short 15-minute appointment, she managed to leave a very bad first impression. So much so that I sat on the exam table in utter disbelief that a doctor of her "maturity" could be so apathetic towards a patient. Before deciding to switch to another PCP, I asked myself these questions. What sort of doctor would refuse your request to see a specialist when you've stated you've had chronic joint pain? Instead, Dr. O'Regan said she's determine my pain was solely muscular and that I didn't need a referral. I have never had a PCP refuse my request for a referral. What sort of doctor would refuse to write a letter to your employer to request certain work area accommodations be made to reduce your muscular pain (chronic or not)? Again, this wasn't a difficult request and it certainly wouldn't have taken Dr. O'Regan more than a couple of minutes to write. What sort of doctor would refuse to answer questions of a concerned patient who asks for her doctor's professional advice? Instead, Dr. O'Regan said she didn't have time because she had a busy schedule and that answering my question would require me to make another appointment for an office visit! I even explained to her that I worked in SF and try to minimize the time away from work. The time it took for her to explain why she couldn't answer my questions was enough time to answer most of my concerns to begin with! I have NEVER had a doctor tell me she didn't have time for me. How can she be a doctor with this attitude? I also shared my negative experience with my work colleagues, friends, and husband and the consensus was that if Dr. O'Regan could be so cold by showing more concern about the number of patients she had to see in the day (that's managed healthcare for you!) rather than show empathy and concern for her patient sitting in front of her, she would be unlikely to show empathy or concern for me in the future. No problem here, Dr. O'Regan. I will gladly give up my spot on your exam table for the next unlucky patient who doesn't value her time as much as I do. Bye-bye

And the rest of the doctors at Walnut Creek Medical Group are just as knowledgable and friendly as well. The only bummer about Dr. O'regan is that she's tough to get into sometimes if you need a same-day or next-day appointment, but I still give her 5 stars because she's surrounded herself with great colleagues...and I've seen all five of them by now! IF she's even taking new patients these days, I'd recommend her in a second - she definitely knows what she's doing...

Dr. Chow-Kwan really takes the time to listen to you, asks excellent questions relating to your visit and is an all around great person and great Doctor. One of my favorite traits of Dr. Chow-Kwan is that she will not just refer to you to a specialist for a strange problem. Both my wife and I have had some strange, one-off (non-chronic) medical issues that Dr. Chow-Kwan has taken a keen interest in and treated wonderfully. I feel very comfortable with her care, methodology and experience. When Dr. Chow-Kwan is not there, you can feel comfortable seeing any of the other Doctors in the practice. They are all great and in the same league with Dr. Chow-Kwan. The office is always well staffed, works out digital prescriptions with you favorite pharmacy, is courteous and will work with you to get you in if you are sick. Oh, and one other thing, I have never had a Doctor call me after a trip to the ER until I joined Dr. Chow-Kwan's practice. I seem to end up in the ER more often then the average (but again, for one-off strange items!) and when Dr. Chow-Kwan called me to follow up, I was blow away. I highly recommend Dr. Chow-Kwan and would be happy to talk more with anyone considering a great Family Practice and Internal Medicine Doctor off line. Just drop me a note!

When Dr Rotman moved to concierge medicine I didn't even have to think twice about moving with him to his new practice. He's been my primary physician since. What he doesn't have solutions for off the top of his head, he researches and finds a regimen that works! He is understanding and his demeanor is such that he can calm me down when I'm having new issues. Though he is a consierge physician, he's worth whatever he charges though I realize that that is an observation based upon my circumstances. Not only has he assuaged the feelings of the aftermaths of "anxiety producing" medical issues that I've lived with for more than 40 years, but he is available 24/7 though as accessible as he is I limit my calls to problems which warrant a call. In all these years, I've perhaps called after office hours five times, and the first thing he does is "calm me down" just by his caring manner. I don't want to go overboard, but I never expected to live to be 78, and I attribute that in large measure to his care. P.S. His staff is excellent, and kudos to Nicole, his office manager, who can flawlessly take blood like a member of Dracula's tenth generation! Ethan W.

After multiple medical errors over the years by other doctors, that many doctors refused to properly document, she took the effort to review my records and provide the most accurate medical record that I have had since the first error in 2010- proving to be the most ethical doctor I have ever interacted with. It takes a special person to stand up against the flow in medical systems. She is that type of person. The type that would stand up and say that is wrong. Ethical enough not to work for system that were no aligned with her ethical integrity. A very rare find. She even found the root cause of the of the issues that were missed for years along with doing a very thorough GI work up-greatly improving symptoms and lessening risk damaging other organs. Noting that I have been going to a Functional Medicine GI doctor and did not have such a thorough GI work up. I wish her the best and hope that everything is ok with her. We are not sure why she ended up closing her practice, I hope everything is good, but rating her closing her practice is not rating her as the excellent doctor she is. I started seeing Dr. Michaud last year after my former FNP (and awful GI doc) ignored some serious symptoms. She has a great bedside manner, is smart, proactive, and thinks outside of the box. She even came up with possible diagnoses other specialists missed. Although we never figured out the cause, she took EVERYTHING I told her VERY seriously. As a veteran patient, I cannot count how many doctors downplay or ignore serious symptoms. Dr. Michaud not only does the opposite of those doctors but should also teach other doctors how to take their patients' concerns seriously. I was able to get in the following week after scheduling as a new patient and never had difficulty getting appointments. Her receptionist, Annabelle, and her MA, Rachel are friendly and helpful. I wish I found her sooner and had more time to be her patient. Even though I only see her a few times a year, she remembers info we've discussed at previous visits (even my applying to med school!).
