Most importantly, privately. This therapist gave me confidential agreement paperwork to sign that is a privacy document between her and I, but the issue is- she never signed her portion.. so anything that was being said was to be shared with whomever was paying for my counseling which was my aunt. My aunt used to pay for my sessions with this Andrea Schoon and then Andrea would then go and tell her all of my problems and personal issues. They were being told behind my back because I was aware by the knowledge my aunt had.. it was actually wild. It was really the biggest shock to me that when I brought it up to Andrea. Which is how I found out she never signed her side of the paperwork. This was a GIANT problem for me. Just the trust it takes for someone to sit down with someone, a stranger much less and talk about themselves, their issues and wanting to feel safe in that environment. Then to find out it's all actually all exposed and out in the open. Truly this is the most horrible thing you can do as a therapist is break a patient, therapist confidential agreement, so I would caution you to work with her and or her practice. Mind you, this happened to me when I was in my early adulthood and really finding myself as a woman / navigating complicated feelings of leaving home and starting college and navigating a tough relationship. Took me literally over a decade to talk to another therapist due to the trust damage that was caused by you, Andrea. Why am I writing this now? I am transitioning to a new therapist and it's been less than easy with my insurance which is PPO, for an in person therapist so I came to yelp for a suggestion. Then I saw this 5 star rating and began to laugh once I read the name. AGAIN. Trust at your own risk!! The information you share here is NOT safe and possibly not just going to stay between you and your therapist. My sister can write a review as well. I'll discuss with her since I'm not the only person this happened to.

Our child looked forward to every session and always left smiling, already excited for the next one. The environment was calm and private, and scheduling was always easy. They now have the tools they need to face their fears with strength and resilience. We're so grateful for the care, patience, and warmth Nicole brought to this journey. Would recommend Nicole as a couples therapist in a heartbeat, particularly if both individuals are committed to putting in the work inside and outside of sessions.

Therapy can be hard to go to, due to shame or the stigma around mental health. It's so often…read moresomething that is talked about in hushed tones. For a very long time, I was told I didn't need therapy because "I had a good life", but only you can make that determination for yourself. It's important that the motivation to come to therapy comes from you, as it creates a willingness to be more open about receiving feedback and the work you do in the therapy setting. In the time that I've been working with him, Johnathon has helped me work through difficult experiences and the way I view myself. When you've spent so much time around people that try to define who you are and what you should be, a more neutral perspective is welcoming. It's extremely profound for my feelings to be validated. Letting ourselves feel emotion instead of suppressing it is vital to moving towards better mental health, and Johnathon created a safe environment to do so, despite my own desire to "get back to normal" or feel a more positive emotion quicker. Sometimes, therapy can feel rigid or impersonal, but sessions with him feel very different from that. Johnathon gets to truly know the way his clients think and feel, and that is signficant. When you're in a session, it feels welcoming and open. You're allotted a moment to orient yourself in the space instead of feeling pressured to come up with a topic of conversation immediately. This is truly client-focused therapy, which is significantly different from previous therapists I've seen, who have a different approach of asking many questions upon their client's arrival. That may work for some, and it can be helpful, but to be put in the position of coming up with my own topics for each session, it helps me determine what is truly important, and what speaks to me the most on any given day. Priorities can change, and that's perfectly okay. Therapy can also take a financial toll if it's outside of one's budget, and I applaud Johnathon for working with me on pricing. The cost of living has gone up significantly for many of us, so being able to afford therapy and come to a compromise on the pricing made it easier to make the commitment to better myself. If you're looking for a remarkable therapist, look no further than Dr Johnathon Neda.

When I called Dr. Neda, I didn't know what to expect but when I started to work with him, I realize that he is very caring, and empathetic, and has a lot of experience. I feel that he has a human perspective where he looks at every individual as a human being and not someone that is treated and is expected to go home, but he has that intention of really helping. I feel that my journey and therapy has started, but it's been something where I have been discovering a lot about myself and I feel that he has really helped me do that.
