My initial review and response from M&M: "For the People"…read moreunless the wages aren't high enough? I submitted a detailed legal intake summary regarding a complex retaliation and Slander Per Se case in SC, involving clear violations of several SC Codes. Despite providing a documented brief, the representative who contacted me the next morning clearly had not read a single word of it. Instead of discussing the merits of the defamation, obstruction, or whistleblower retaliation to name a few, the "representative" interrupted me to ask only about my hourly wage and the number of employees at the firm. The moment she had my salary info, she abruptly declined the case. It is a shame that a firm built on the story of helping the "little guy" against the powerful seems to only care if that "little guy" has a high enough salary. They aren't interested in justice; they're interested in the math. If you have a legitimate, documented case but aren't a high-earner, don't expect them to actually read your file. Business owner information Tariq S. Business Manager Mar 23, 2026 Hi John, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how important it is to feel heard, especially when dealing with a complex legal matter. We are sorry to hear that the intake process didn't reflect the level of attention you were expecting. Please know that these decisions are never taken lightly, as many factors go into determining whether we can proceed with representation. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and share your experience. We wish you the best moving forward. -Client Experience Team "Never taken lightly?" "Many factors?" What an epic canned response. Clearly Mr. Tariq did not read my review any more than their screener read my brief. The screener blew off everything and anything I had to say about the case, yeah I really see the concern there. The decision to refuse the case was based completely on 2 questions; wages, and employer. Yeah, oh yeah soooo many factors there. Has M&M taken the place of the horrible attorney that caused their own existence? They certainly DO NOT represent the little guy.

Just like they've done my brother . They didn't even give me a chance to go at the court house , wait for and hear what we gotta say . I know other lawyers who'd be more understanding but this team with Mr . Patel , he's good but I'd say strict , strict, strict . Alittle compassion & understanding would be nice added to y'all business. The only time I'd say we were very behind on payment was this months own . I know it was late but I've already sent it almost $400 just hours before his time for court . His assistant saw it , they requested for the rest . So ofc when I was on my way to deposit and send the rest then I get a call from Liza , her telling me "Maam this is serious ! You need to be there !" to court ....... so I dropped what I was doing , rushed to the court house just to show up and no words from either of them . Ghosted me the whole time after I got there when they're the one ( Liza ) telling me to get there . I didn't think they would need me , my brother is the client , the defendant. But since They /Liza , wanna email me and say I'm not his client , like yall said I wasn't in the email yall send me then what was the reason for you guys to call me & tell me that yall needed me there for ? Couldn't even start my brothers case all because of $$$ . His assistant saw the payment went through , I was just about to sent the rest , deposit it but that's when they called me , Liza talking as if I'm one of her kids tf .... They called me to get there asap so I DID ! But once I got there , I texted them I tried calling them but yk what , both of them wasn't answering AT ALL ! That's when I knew ! Yk what they failed to do ? Give us a chance to speak ! Liza knew I was going to get there .I'm not sure if she didnt let Patel know I was coming which is why he just left or they just both got bad communication with eachother to its clients . I even told her on the phone even texting . As I got to the court house , I messaged them that I was there . We were confused , lost and wondering where is Patel . No words , no calls or text at all back at me , our case now going up to state over a misunderstanding that Patel was too sensitive or irritated to even come back and help us with ........ but they see the money and demands the rest now . At this point I don't even wanna pay the rest to y'all . either his assistant Mrs Liza has no communication with her boss & Patel just sees you as a check . Like he told my brother " I DONT WORK FOR FREE." That's when I knew the type of man he is . What he lacks is to be patient & understanding. I know some lawyers who are decent , it honestly felt like we were a rush case with him . Only reason why we chose him first was because he had great reviews + he was brown person who I thought couldn't understand where we were coming from . But looking at it now , we just felt like a rush case with him . They wanna say we barely follow up with the case , excuse me ? We've been asking questions about the video footages for proof but both of them or Liza would never come up with anything .It wasn't till we asked about getting a copy , Like did he even see the proof on the footage or just treated us like a number? all he said was " well it's all on the report ." And if you noticed on the report Mr . Patel , they put the wrong ethnicity on the report ! Im not sure if he just saw the report and went along with what the report says but ..... like he said it on our last meeting " well that's what it says ....on the report ." So did you even watch the footage ? Or was we just a rush case ? Thanks for y'all services . It could've been better & we still had time to go up in the court house but instead of waiting to for me to hear me out as I rushed myself to get there ...... they left us hanging ! NO TEXT BACK NOR CALLS once I arrived . Patel wanna go furious and just told my brother " IM DONE WITH YOU !" A lawyer with no patience nor understanding. Yeah I've learn my lesson ! I know lawyers who keep it real because they know how life be lifinggggg iywim but not these guys . YOU DONT HAVE WHAT THEY WANT THEYLL DROP YOU LIKE A FLY .
