Tucked away a block off the main drag, it's worth the drive from anywhere to be greeted by pleasant smiles and conversation from all the ladies working there. My breakfast was cooked perfectly and attractively plated, and the waitress kept the hot coffee coming. Wi-fi is even provided if you're looking for a quaint place to go hang out for a bit. It took a bit of searching to find a place in the area that would cook made-to-order eggs, but now that I did I know I'll be back!

The menu selection is limited but it hits all of the hot spots that a breakfast diner should. Nothing too complicated. The staff is friendly and the food came out hot and fast. I got in minutes after they opened and everything was already ready for the day. The diner is clean and overlooks the Ohio river so it was nice to watch the barges go by while I was enjoying breakfast here. Definitely recommend this place. It's awesome. Support local.

I ordered country fried steak with hash browns and eggs over easy. I believe that the country fried steak is premade frozen then deep fried. Not horrible, but not as good as I know fresh to be. The eggs were cooked medium and had dark yellow oil/grease all over them. The hash browns should have been called hash blacks. Very over cooked, black and brown crunchy. The griddle spatula scraped off black grease on the side of the plate. This breakfast will not inspire me to return anytime soon. I will say I've had very good omelets here.

Which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if the quality reflected the price. It did not. The breakfast pizza was $11 for the base. Any additional toppings were extra. The pizza had no flavor and wasn't cut all the way. We had to add salt and pepper for it to taste of anything. The coffees were around $7-$8 dollars a drink. I wasn't able to taste any of the espresso in my drink. It tasted only of milk. I had gotten my white chocolate mocha half sweet, yet it still tasted of almost pure sugar. The entrance was crowded as they had Girl Scouts in there soliciting their cookies. The dining area was a bit dirty because of all the people coming and going, but otherwise was fine. Overall, I was disappointed in my experience after hearing so many great things about the place. I would consider going back during a time when it is less busy.
