Like with anything truly fresh and hot, good food takes time--but wow, was it worth it. Our guests loved the food, and we kept hearing rave reviews all night. As the bride and groom, we made it a point to sit down and enjoy the meal--and we're so glad we did. Everything was absolutely delicious. Whether you're booking them for a special event or just grabbing a quick bite in Hilton Head, you HAVE to try LowCo Grub. We truly cannot recommend them enough as the food and communication for our event was amazing.

We love living in the low country and enjoy all the local bounty, but we still get serious cravings for some Chicago favorites as I was born and raised there. Even after decades of living in other states, most of the food we miss is from the Windy City. Imagine our surprise, when we found out the gracious owners of this food truck are from the Chicago area and their menu is peppered with some of our absolute favorites - Italian beef and a loaded Chi town hot dog! The smash burgers are ridiculously good. If you think Beedos has the beef, think again. The patties here are expertly cooked, with just the right amount of crispy edges, and juicy meat. Probably one of our top 3 burgers of all time. The menu also offers up patty melts, chili, a Reuben, chicken ( wraps, tenders & a quesadillas), sides like crinkle cuts, onion rings, coleslaw and mozzarella sticks. The truck is usually parked on St. Helena, right across from the Seaside Bar & Grill. There is no question, we will be back!

A friend and I saw a Food Truck event on social media and decided to check it out. And when we…read morearrived we realized it was the grand opening of the Truck Stop at Jackson Square. They only had 4 food trucks, but apparently that will be the standard. However, those trucks will be rotating out. I'm not sure how frequently. We both had food from Stuff Puppies. I enjoyed it and there was a long line and wait, but it was because everything was made to order. There was seating, but not enough for the grand opening. We waited in line, but many people stayed back to hold seats for others, so we stood and ate our stuffed puppies. Another hang up were the drinks. They were serving beer and wine on this particular day, but we just wanted bottled waters and none of the trucks were selling drinks. So, we had to wait in the beer and wine line to get a bottled water. I'd suggest them making a separate line for just sodas, bottled water and other non-alcoholic drinks. The event had a fundraising component. They were donating a portion of the proceeds to the North Augusta Bark Park. Overall, cool event. I'd just like to have seat to enjoy my food next time.

If your barbecue doesn't require any sauce, then you have mastered the art of grilling/barbecuing. This is definitely the case for Mr. Roscoe! You can smell the food before you even reach the corner. As soon as my sister and I walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile from Mr. Roscoe (who was preparing for tomorrow) and his lovely wife who was at the cash register. I ordered the pork ribs, the mac and cheese and the hash and rice. It was the end of the day, but the food was still piping hot. The pork ribs were juicy, tender and packed full of flavor. The hash and rice were good. It had a really smoky taste that caused my taste buds to do a little dance. The mac and cheese was okay. It just wasn't for me. I will definitely be back before I head back home tomorrow!

If you're new or not familiar with main post, it's between the water plant, main gym, and commissary. Today we tried a Chili Dog and a BLT Dog. Both were great and lived up to their names. The dogs were beefy and juicy. The buns were nicely toasted, but still soft to the bite. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. The fries, though I do believe a popular frozen brand, were prepared and fried properly. They weren't seasoned but I was happy about that; I can't stand over-seasoned fries! The woman that took and served our order was friendly, bubbly, and personable. I give the crew two thumbs up and give them kudos for taking the risk and being one of only two food trucks for this area! Thank you Good Dogs crew and we will certainly return!
